Craving maharashtrian food? Or just street food? This is your go to place around Milpitas. If you like it spicy just ask for extra spice. Authentic flavours, enjoy it while watching the setting sun or just pick up and enjoy at home.Tried the Kolhapuri mutton and paratha on second visit. It’s was too good.
I've been hearing about this truck for a little while now, and the front desk of my hotel strongly recommended it, as well. Placed a takeout order online for panipuri, chicken rice plate, and the kolhapur chicken curry. Every single dish was absolutely outstanding, with them all being perfectly prepared, spiced, and cooked. The mint chutney was one of the best I've had in a while, and I cannot say enough how good the two chicken dishes were. It's a busy truck and the guy at the window wasn't the most friendly, though it's probably because they were so busy. All in all, I super highly recommend this place and will probably go back tonight to try some different dishes!
We went here for dinner and ordered a lot of food. There was a line for ordering, but the delivery was quick. We ordered Misal Pav, Dahi Puri, Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji. Misal Pav was decent and spicy. Vada Pav was just okay. Dahi Puri and Pav Bhaji were decent too. Will visit next time and try their non-veg fare.
Now the food truck from Maharashtra!! Absolutely great teasting food. Vada Pav got the Perfect taste of Pune's Joshi Vadapav. Mishal Pav is also Delicious. Well...Dont forget to get some rude attitude from the server!! Its free with tips!!
I've had chai from here before when they only accepted cash and today, we ordered pav bhaji and one order of pani puri. They do now accept credit cards with a $.25 charge. The pav bhaji was good but be warned, the garlic dry sauce is extremely spicy. This particular pani puri was new to me...there was a warm chole type of daal with normal, yummy pani. I expected gol gappe but this wasn't it. The pani puri were not bad, but I still don't know what to make of them. There are plenty of tables in the shade. The truck is in the lot of a smog check place.
The best vada pav I've ever had in the USA. The misal and kolhapur Curry are great too but not as much as the vada pav. The food truck has a few tables where you can sit but weather depending. When we visited it was chilly and windy so we had to sit in our car. But I'll highly recommend the place to try out.I have taken a star away because the guy who took out order was rude.
All time favourite place to go for my VADA-PAV cravings. Satiating my hunger for kolhapuri delicacies is now just a drive to Swaraj India. The taste and the aroma definetly flew me back to kolhapur so called asal kolhapuri rassa. Please try their every dish on menu you will not be disappointed for the alluring taste ??.
We tried the vadapav (amazing as expected, since we had heard a lot of good reviews already), Missal (great as well), and kolhapuri chicken (which was a bit oily but that's to be expected). We would definitely go again if we visit the bay area to try more stuff!
There are a few places in the Bay area that offer food from the state of Maharashtra (India).Swaraj India is definitely one of the best ones. The food here tastes authentic and reminds me of food back home. Its a bit on the spicy side, which I like. This time I got the food delivered. The food was packed well and there were no spills on the way.1. Kolhapuri Chicken Rice Plate: This comes with rice, roti and papad on the side. It is spicy! And flavorful. Complements the region this dish comes from (which is know for its spicy food).2. Kolhapuri Vegetable Rice Plate: This comes with the same sides as the chicken and is spicy as well.3. Pav bhaji: I loved this. Reminded me of eating the same thing at Juhu beach in Mumbai.4. Vada Pav: Taste was very similar to what you get in Mumbai. Also the dry chutney is really good, and of course spicy.5. Matki Bhel: I liked their take on the regular bhel. The moong beans tasted good with the rest of the ingredients.6. Sev Puri: Many places serve this, but this place sent everything separate (as a kit). That way the puris were not soggy. Also a lot of different places serve this dish using the puris used for pani puri (thats not sev puri!) +1 for staying authentic and using flat puris.7. Pani puri: The pani was nice and spicy. And they gave a generous amount of stuffing.Needless to say, I'll order again.P.S. I feel I'hv used the word "spicy" a lot in this review :D
Today we picked up food from this place. We ordered vada pav, chicken kolhapuri curry, chicken kolhapuri rice plate and kesar pista lassi.Vada pav : mind blowing taste and definitely one of the best I had so far in California. For $7 you get 2 vada pav which is absolutely worth the price. They gave red garlic chutney which is spicy like really very spicy plus green chutney and sweet chutney. Also 1 green chilli dipped in red garlic chutney. So now you can imagined the taste of vada pav with all this chutneys. I bet you will go back again specially if your craving the taste of Mumbai.Chicken kolhapuri curry : very delicious ! The curry is thick and spicy I loved the taste. Its maharashtrian style so you won’t miss your home. Chicken is soft and juicy. Quantity is enough for two people for one time.Chicken kolhapuri rice plate: Its the same chicken curry but served with 2 chapati, rice, raita, papad which is very good for one person for one time. I felt the quantity of curry is less for 2 chapati and rice but overall the taste kills everything.Kesar pista lassi: very disappointed as they forgot to pack with the order. We checked the bag after coming home and found that lassi is not in the bag and called them but no one answered. So don’t know the taste but still I will give 5 star for the taste of the food which is very delicious. Thanks?
