My family and I came here for dinner yesterday. We were craving Asian food and didn’t want to drive across town for a bowl of noodles. The interior of the restaurant is simple yet elegant with hints of Asian inspired decorations. There is an outdoor seating area which is perfect for those warm summer nights. We started with nem cuon as an appetizer. It is grilled pork with pickled vegetables, and lettuce wrapped in rice paper.Tamarind prawns! This dish was full of flavor. I love how the sauce sticks to the prawns and melt in my mouth with every bite. Highly recommended with a side of white rice.I know the restaurant is called Noodle Boss, but they might want to change it to Noodle and Bo Luc Lac Boss. The dish was amazing with the perfect balance of flavor and the meat was so tender. There were so many options to choose for the main entree. The Noodle Boss recommended Bun Bo Hue (BBH) with beef rib. I was a little skeptical because I haven’t had good BBH for about 20 years. Well I’m glad I went with the recommendation. The bowl of goodness was well constructed with meat, cha lua, tendons, meat, noodles, meat, vegetables, and more meat! BBH craving satisfied and another restaurant booked mark for future visits.
A very friendly couple serving very good Vietnamese food! We got #26 and #55 (fried thigh, rice vermicelli noodle). The portions are incredibly generous, and not to mention very fresh. Highly recommend trying the chicken - the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. We also got the fried egg rolls, but we ate them too quickly to take any photos.
Dropped in because the line at the Banana Leaf was long. The owner was very friendly and service was great. The pho is good as were the noodles with pork and spring rolls. Prices were reasonable too. This place is a great addition to McCarthy Ranch and well worth a visit!
First time visiting California and driving around San Jose and we found this place. We tried the rice, pho and spring rolls, they are all really really good. (I and my wife are both picky Vietnamese eater and we have tried many Viet food places). The owner is also very nice to chat with. If you are indecisive about where to eat around this area, definitely pick this place.
Tender beef in the bo kho voi with a slight hint of spice. My 5 year old son can handle the noodles even when he doesnt eat spicy, although he needs to drink some water after every few bites. Bun bo hue was good overall with the right amount of kick. The meat was on the drier side, but broth is full of flavor. Foodwise is 4 stars. Servicewise is a 2, I had to wait over 40 min for food that normally takes less than 10 min at typical Vietnamese restaurants, without any acknowledgement from the workers. Perhaps the kinks havent been worked out yet for this new place.
Pho is so delicious.
I was looking to have a healthy meal after the gym. Everthing was fresh . The atmosphere was relaxing i felt welcomed, Like eating with family. The owners were very kind . The food was prepared when I ordered it. I don't mind waiting for quality it gave us more time to laugh and unwind from the day. I had pork spring rolls that were refreshing like cool breeze on a hot day. I had to try the pho I went beef broth small serving. The large portion is definitely big enough for two. Price is more than fair .I usally order more than one dish ?. But the price per dish is about 8 - 15 dollars. I tried a vietnamese coffe for the first time and overall was in awe . This was a great experience. Stop by try it I'm certain you'll agree.
I thought it was like a noodle and co type of situation where it's a bunch of noodle products but it's another pho shop. The pho was good but it came out slow.
Pork noodle bowl was great and portions are huge!
We came on a really cold day but still be paranoid with the pandemic, we insisted sitting outdoors. The owners were so accommodating and brought us two heaters so we were able to stay warm. Thanks for the great hospitality and food!
