Unadon (eel rice) was great. And curry katsu (pork) is a bit tough to my liking. Probably it’s healthier? :) would come back again! Outdoor seating is also available. You can choose either rice or noodles. We ordered rice based and they are great.

Wandered into this joint and ordered takeout. The chicken karaage was one of the best I've ever had. The skin was cooked almost like chicharrones and was absolutely deliciously cooked. The cucumber salad was huge, with tons of really fresh greens and sliced cucumbers. The pork katsu donburi was tasty and well cooked, though the pork was a little thick for my taste. It was still fantastic. I couldn't finish all the food even in two meals. I'm going back for the chicken karaage and the salad soon. This place is legit good, big portions, and good prices. Friendly staff, too.

We ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry Don for to-go and the chicken was ok. It was tough and a bit rubbery. Curry was delicious though! We may just have had bad luck with our chicken dish for the day. Would I come here again? Maybe not. The chicken has unfortunately discouraged me from coming again.

Big portion at a modest price (10-15). Self-service for water and utensils. Food comes out in less than 10 minutes. You can swap out rice for noodles. If you get katsu, they'll ask if you want pork or chicken. I ordered the Katsu Curry Don.There is a lot of rice. The amount of rice is about double the amount of katsu. Filled my appetite at a good price. I'd come again.

I had the curry katsu don on recommendation of my coworkers and it definitely hit the spot.

A little disappointed by the chicken katsu but the beef dish was decent. Fine overall.

This might have just been an off day or I ordered the wrong thing LOL. I will give it another try though. Just ordered a simple small plate, Hamachi Kama and miso soup. Miso soup flavor was just OK. I have never had deep-fried Kama....always grilled. Grilling maintains better flavor and moisture. It wasn’t bad...just different and on the small side. There isn’t a lot of meat on a collar anyway, so normally when ordering, if you get small collars, you will get two. Like I said, will probably try it again as this place is getting good reviews.

Very nice and clean environment. Food is very good and about average prices for current times.

At the corner of the building next to the AT&T store, Kokolo has lots of east parking. Inside is spacious and inviting.Got the beef curry over rice. It was freshly made and piping hot throughout. Delicious!Beef is sliced thin and very tender and curry was flavorful with a mild-medium spicy level. Rice was slightly sticky and perfect for eating with chopsticks. Will be back to try other dishes. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality Japanese rice bowls. I have gotten the tonkatsu curry, katsu don, and gyudon for take out, and all tasted great. They give generous portions of meat and rice packed in separate containers. The meats are tender and well-flavored. Definitely hits the spot if you're in the mood for some Japanese comfort food.
