Really disappointed. Ordered Idly and Pongal combo. Finally they gave Vada. these Vadas taste bitter due to they would be frying in the same oil multiple times.
One of the better places to find authentic south Indian food. They are open as early as 8:00am, which is good when grabbing traditional south Indian breakfast. The dishes are simple and taste good. Hope to see more menu options like Dosa and Indian chai. They have filter coffee, but nothing for the chai lovers. Also, the ready to eat curries in the refrigerator section are quite expensive. It works out great when they have specials going on (like buy 1 get 1 free).
Some friends recommended this as one do the best South Indian places around, and everything here was delicious. They’re doing to-go only these days. Do not skip the vada! Just so good.Want to say thank you to the sweet employee who overheard it was my birthday while I was getting take out, then went out of her way to call us back in and give us a full size dessert!
Yet another great place for grabbing authentic South India tiffins. Their Thatte Idly and pongal are must try! Chutneys and Sambar are terrific. Filter coffee deserves a special mention! Open only for take out at the moment. Service is super quick. Special rice is good. Prices are affordable. Quantity is adequate.
Good Palce to have idly vada combo
Great new South Indian joint that operates as a cloud kitchen (no seating, only takeout and delivery). We got a couple orders of vada and idli. Came with plenty of chutney and sambar on the side. Freshly cooked and full of flavor without too much spice. Very reasonable prices, each order was less than $10, and looking at the size of the idlis it is very much worth it. We will be ordering our South Indian delicacies more often from this place!
We ordered food from Idly Express Milpitas via Uber Eats. Excellent food quality, with good packaging. Everything tasted fresh! Thank you Idly Express!!
Mediocre food .Tasteless sambhar and chutneys.
Genuine review, after 3 visits. The Good:+ Their timings are great for Indian food in the locality. We literally don't get Indian food so early in the day anywhere else.+ Price point is great for what/how much they give.+ Friendly staffThe bad (I explained in detail, if they like to revisit/give it a thought):- Limited menu options. No dosas in a south indian breakfast place!- My biggest disappointment is with their Idly. I really hoped someone passionate about Idly had picked this name for the place. Why is it so fluffy and artificial, polished white in color!? Less substance, more air.- weird combination of cuisines. Chutneys are Tamil style, sambhar is Karnataka style. This may be a + for some, but not for me.
This place serves the best and soft thate idly with an amazing coconut chutney. Bisibele bath and puliyodhara were amazing.
