The Kalbi Tang is amazingly tasty and refreshing, truly made with beef bone stock and filtered so it tastes clean and light, yet full of flavors. As for the Kalbi jjim. The sauce is great, not too sweet. The rice cake and root vegetables are slightly overcooked while the Kalbi is a bit dry.
The service was not that great as they do not do their due diligence on making sure if the customer is waiting outside. I was behind the pillar outside waiting with a bunch of others, but didn't bother to call my name. The food is absolutely delicious and worth visiting a second time. Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavors were fantastic.
This place is ever so popular. Their ox tail option was already sold out so we went for their original braised short ribs (kalbijjim). I recommend getting all the extras minus veggies lol. The cheese on top is definitely a must if you have to pick and choose. I personally can’t handle more than mild. Mild was already too spicy for me so take that as you will. Flavors and portion are definitely not an issue at this place. The bonchon were simple but that is what it is. The purple rice was a nice touch. The only thing I didn’t like was the price. The meal will cost you so bring your friends and split .
We got the our food to go.Got the galbijjim with cheese and rice cakes. I enjoyed the charcoal-y taste of the melted moz and every bite of the jjim tasted good. The meat is fairly plentiful, though for 100 bucks it better have been. I think it's not a bad deal, actually. It'll probably be somewhere between 4 and 6 decent size meals.
This is what we get for extra meat! Not even half full of the container. We’ve been keep ordering since pandemic and Daeho change from big box to smaller ones and have price increased and now we get this for 90 bucks? Unbelievable!
This place is a must try!!!I love Korean food but leave that aside, I've many Korean BBQ, KFC (Korean fried chicken), cold noodle, seafood jjampong, noodles and things etc. But the kaobi Jjim was the most impressive. The sauce is so tasty and the meat so tender and the veggies are so flavorful.Must order cheeseMust order TteobokkiDepends on how many people and your appetite, you can add meat or even noodle. They have other dishes like the soup was pretty good as well but the winner is definitely kalbi jjim
The restraint was clean and the food was good. This is not a place I would put on a normal rotation, I may visit one a year. Nothing really stood out, but nothing was really bad.Little pricey but did not real bad about spending the money.
Specialty restaurant, not very large, but we'll ventilated and clean. Came on a Monday night and had to wait an hour (holiday season). Not sure if truly authentic, but everything was delicious, even the appetizers tasted fresh and flavorful. The ox tail and ribs covered with cheese was excellent as expected. Service was organized (place orders before seating).
This place is amazing . My party of 4 shared the Kalbi Jjim with cheese and all of us were full. I love the rice cake, it was very chewy. The meat was very TENDER and the sauce was AMAZING. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended;)
I order braised rib with extra meat Togo . I found out it's taste is a bit too sweet for me, also the meat and the attached tendon is a bit tough too. Price is high ( I think it was $85.00 with actually little neat but lots of rib bones). I prefer the regular kalbi beef on hot iron plate or just BBQ yourself to this dish.
