The service is definitely the worst. I sat there for an hour, and the server came to ask what did you order, since she forgot to put my order. OK, usually it’s forgivable in this situation, but what made me really angry is that I asked her couple of times, every time she just responded the dish will be ready very soon. In the end it seems she did not check at all.
I don’t know what this spice is (Sichuan pepper?) but it is very strong and tastes like detergent. Almost ruined the whole dish. Luckily it doesn’t leave its scent once you remove it.
OMG! It's salty! It's hot! It's spicy! It's DELICIOUS!We went here for dinner. The order consisted of:Fried chicken w. dry chilli: This is a must have. The salty, spicy, tangy and the dried chilli flavors are so addictive. We ended up getting a second order for this one. The chef was sweet and gave us more chicken than the first order.Chicken Chow mein: This was actually a customized version of the combination chow mein. Do not be thrown off by the lo mein noodles used in this entree. It tastes amazing and has a generous amount of chicken.Fish w. Chilli Sauce:Absolutely delectable. The generous use of sichuan pepper corns, garlic, dried chilli and all other fresh ingredients was apparent. This again was a customized version of the "Little lamb w. Chilli Sauce".The staff is very friendly and willingly offer their suggestions if you are spoilt for choices or have a question about the menu. They seemed to willingly customize the meat in the entrees. Our server also gave us a few good pointers to help order for our next visit.Do try out their hot tea. It really helps unlock your tongue and prepares your palate for the next mouthful.Ambience: Casual. Lots of open spaceQuantity: GenerousParking: Ample space. Although you might need to get lucky to find a spot closer to the restaurant.Times visited: 1
Wonderful dishes! Taste great.
I went here last night with my friends. My friends had her birthday party here. She been here for over a decade and she chose this place. And this place blows my mind. Fresh ingredients . Tasty food. Chef special choice dishes. Everything is fantastic. The service are very nice too. It’s literally my favorite spicy Chinese food in the whole Bay Area. I really enjoy the food. If you don’t know what to order ask the chef. They will make you something special.
Love the taste. Recommend those beef, lamb and pork blood.
I like the food there, they cook pretty good dishes. I went there quite regularly before. However, one of the waitress was super bad. She drop plate on top of another dish when serving the food. My food fell off the plate when she did that, but she didn’t say anything. Not serving water at all. Then in the end I was quite unhappy and didn’t write anything on the tip. She arrogantly use her finger point on the tip area to me like I owe her something. In the end I intentionally give her a very low % tip. She even chase me out of the restaurant to ask me raise the tip. SO GUYS, YOU ONLY GO THERE WHEN YOU WANT TO FIND OUT HOW BAD A WAITRESS CAN BEHAVE. I will never go to that terrible place unless they change waitress.
One of the waiters was very rude and arrogant. He gave us an attitude when we want to make our dish less spicy and kept telling us that they never changed the spicy level and only wanted to cook it in the “right” way. And later we figured out the reason they can’t adjust the spicy level was because the sauce they use to cook is pre-made. I mean, if you are NOT ABLE to make it less spicy, just tell us the real reason and we will understand. Why keep saying you are cooking it in the “right” way and make your customer feel bad about their request? The experience is extremely frustrating and we will never go back again.
Food is good (we like the fried chicken, mapo tofu, and eggplant) but service is super slow. When you order online, plan to wait an additional 30min because the ETA they provide is never accurate.
Hands down good spot to eat Chinese food. Good size portions, good authentic dishes and not greasy. Beef with Chile and the chow mein is the best
