Even when short staffed, they are organized, polite and welcoming as every time I've visited. The food is as good if not better than most restaurants in Santa Cruz for their sushi combination platters in taste, appearance and portions. Worth booking a reservation or quick stop for a ramen bowl.

I had really high hopes for this place based off of other reviews- but I was extremely disappointed. I got the nigiri and it was awful, specifically the sushi rice was really bad. I’ve been to a lot of sushi places and they all add flavor to their rice and this place doesn’t. It’s super bland.
Definitely one of the best sushi places around. Only complaint is that on several occasions I have asked for spicy mayo with my takeout order and not recieved it.
Crowded in evenings. Understaffed, you'll have to sit without menu or water for a while before they attend you. Food was good!
Delicious sushi and lots of options. The staff was great and they were accommodating when we had a special request for a substitution. We will definitely be back.
Went for dinner with hubby and daughter since was craving for ramen and sushi. Ordered little too much but all the food was good and sushi was fresh and yummy. Pricewise not so bad for quality and taste, it’s worth it. Staff was nice and friendly
Both Turlock and Merceds locations atmosphere is nice, but the food isn’t the best it can be. Workers lack common sense. You don’t put a cold raw roll in the same box as a baked roll. It ruins the other roll. I was charged $30 for two rolls that didn’t even taste remotely good.
It was really good but kind of pact.
