The people of Merced are Soo Lucky to be blessed with such an incredible Popeyes. Let me tell ya, the Popeyes in Turlock is absolutely traaaaash. I was shook this location only had a 3.6 stars even though for years now they always have the best food and customer service. Been like 20 times never had an issue. Perfect food hella fast. It's worth the 30 minute drive from turlock to get it because otherwise I'd be in the drive thru for atleast that to be told my foods not ready. Be thankful and grateful for what you have in Merced.

Usually good food but today my chicken was very dry and they got the sauce I requested.
When you order 2 tackle boxes and ain't got no tackle!!! Then the manager got an attitude talking bout some why didn't you come in after you got it....I shouldn't have to explain when I'm about to eat my food and I just now opened it. And this is what I see...EDIT: I went to get my replacement meal and the manager didn't write my name down and lied about what her name was. Who is that childish? I do not recommend.
HORRIBLE customer service girl at the counter wouldn’t even look at my husband and tried to help other people who came in after him. When he tried to the manager about it she still didn’t care. It’s sad to see adults at like children in a work place like grow up and get some customer service training. Popeyes as a whole needs to really evaluate who there hiring because it’s rude people like that, that make a one time bad experience a life time of not ever wanting to go back. It’s not right and my husband did not deserve that. Also corporate was called and they will be investigating it. Also to that girl that was rude to my husband YOU NEED TO GO TAKE SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASSES ASAP!! ?
The chicken is delish!!! Popeyes cannot be matched. However, I have visited this location a few times and the staff always leaves much to be desired. I know this is a fast food restaurant and I'm not expecting 5 star service, but let's just be nice to each other and acknowledge that we both exist in a shared space. Every new meeting with a human being is an opportunity to be kind or be aloof or be a jerk. Let's be kind please.
Our order was 100% Wrong. No sauce, no biscuits. The chicken was not spicy as ordered. Our side was coleslaw, and we got mashed potatoes. Usually, I check the order before leaving, but the drive-thru was so long the person two cars back was honking. I called the store when I got home and they answered the phone and hung right back up—avoiding calls.
The restaurant is very clean and looks to be good, but very poor service. I ordered on the app and decided to pick up in store. There's no line to order, but there is a group of people waiting on their food. I see large piles of mild, spicy chicken and tenders cooked and ready to package, but nobody was preparing orders. It's just sitting there. I'm not sure why we all had to wait if the food is all ready to go. If I want Popeyes, I'm going to drive up to Livingston and get it there. Not coming back.
My experience here at this Popeyes has always been great, very fast service and well done orders. I enjoyed the red stick chicken when it was here for a limited time and would occasionally come here for the spicy chicken sandwich. I would highly recommend it here for anyone in Merced or even passing by on the freeway and I would visit it again.
