3/24/22 4:54pm- Today I attended my oldest daughter’s School open house. I was advised that Danny’s tacos was going to be there selling food to the public. The School’s open house hours were going to be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, so myself and my wife arrived early to enjoy the food. 4:54pm is when I placed my order, I had no problem waiting considering the turn out we had in attendance. After some time I noticed no numbers were being called out to notify customers their orders were ready, given we had a number tag the staff had given us to fallow. 5:45pm is when my patience began to wear thin. 51 minutes had gone by with no movement whatsoever. Finally I asked for my money back because the allotted time was at its halfway point for the open house. I’ve heard so many good thing about Danny’s tacos to be let down in such a way that I no longer trust such fancy looking taco trucks. I think it’s in the best Interest that I stay with the more common looking Hispanic taco truck’s since they have yet to let me down. If you’re looking for “Speed” and “Quality”, Danny’s tacos isn’t it. To quote one customer who was also frustrated there “I think the DMV is much more organized than this place”.
Went and got some tacos and the meat was burnt like black crunchy burnt. I don't plan on eating tacos again from that Yosemite location again.
Definitely returning
I usually love this place. Tonight I got my usual order Carne aside burrito supreme, it was cold all the meat was on one end only. The burrito bowl only had cilantro and cheese and the obvious that comes with it. It was also cold! I ordered it with no lettuce or rice that's the only thing they got right! I asked for extra jalapeños didn't get them. There was only one for two people!?
Type: Walk in customer with 3 other coworkersOrder: Pastor Burrito Supreme and 2 Asada Tacos.Meat and flavor was great, but the food was a bit on the slower side, and worse, it came out luke-warm for all of us. A tad disappointing.
Absolutely
Got two steak burritos and a bean and cheese the other day. Bean and cheese torilla had some black marks from burn and tasted like burn(not the good grilled tast but burt tortilla). There was way more bean than cheese, and that would be okay if the beans had seasoning or something, but it was extremely bland. My burrito was horrible, I took comfort in hoping the steak burritos were atleast good for my brother and father. They both said the burrito had ground meat not steak and tons of rice, they had to open the burrito remove some rice, and both had leftover tortilla and rice they threw away. Pretty embarassing to buy someone lunch and for it to be terrible. You guys used to be the best Taco truck. Sad to see it go down hill.
Here we go.Their food is pretty good considering the reasonable price. Sometimes there's a long wait, but again for some it's worth it to wait. Regardless, a good habit for here is ordering ahead of Time. Now, there are two issues.1) They don't do this often, but kitchen at times is not consistent.2) I tried placing my order almost 1 hour ahead of time. I texted twice, called 4 times. Never answered. They usually don't answer texts when they're busy. But by the time I arrived, they looked anything but busy. When I approached them, they claimed they never got a text or calls.I'd recommend, just know what to expect.
Great costumer service! Best freshness & flavor. Reminds me of how Trucks use to taste back in the day.
My order here is the CARNE ASADA nachos but no beans because it distracts from that incredible carne flavor! Danny's Carne Asada anything is the best in town. Sooooo good. This is my favorite place to eat in town hands down. Can't wait to see this business grow in Merced.
