Ricky was the nicest Starbucks employee I've ever met. Was friendly when ordering and when Starbucks closed he saw me looking around outside for a table to sit at. There were none left. Without prompting; he brought a table outside for me to use - after close !

I got harassed with mental illness slander by area community leaders and out of state visitors that were cyberstalking me on Reddit and other web platforms inside and around this store. Most of this appeared to be fanaticism around the subjects of "target individuals", which is not a group that I have membership with or identify with. I reported the incidents of harassment and cyberstalking to the FBI on repeated occasions. The harassment ended in this store today with false accusations of me taking photos of young girls, which I do not do, then I got kicked out of the cafe.It is apparent the Starbucks leadership (regional? corporate?) is complicit in enabling harassment and slander in their stores and the staff don't have the resources to manage it. I do not have mental illness nor do I commit crimes against children. Not visiting again until Starbucks leadership apologizes to me for the mistake and recognizes that my complaints against other customers were as valid as their complaints. You should also reconsider visiting this store until senior leadership cleans it's bad act up.Edit:I revisited this store's reviews and can see most of the complaints for this store appear to be criticism of wait times, availability of drinks, and politeness of staff. This seems petty.- If the wait time is bad it's rarely the employees' fault at any Starbucks. People should be thrilled that someone is willing to make a drink for them at all. If service is slow it's because of too many customers at once, or recovering from too many customers at once. If the store is short staffed it's probably due to sickness or poor regional management.- If a drink is unavailable its probably due to regional availability of ingredients and popularity of drinks. There's so many drinks that it's impossible to NOT find a replacement that is equally good. And if not, not worth writing a negative review about.- If an employee seems rude, even though it may seem personal, most of the time it is not. I think you can assume that any store's lousy population of customers (as opposed to the population of good natured customers) probably ruin at least one staffer's day each week and more than one customer's.There's a review in here insulting a specific employee. Don't be mean to the old woman! I made this mistake and it was misplaced - we were both getting harassed by a customer during an incident (last year). That woman has an entire lifetime of human experience that she contributes to the store every day and people should feel lucky any one of the staff is willing to wake up and serve a stranger coffee.In reality this job should probably pay $25 per hour entry level (the only reasonable rate if someone needs to pay bills and save/invest for retirement and emergencies) but the reason it does not appears to be overvalued senior leadership and investors hoarding the corporation's wealth. Not even a stock plan for minimum wage employees? What a joke.Save your petty complaints for when you get assaulted (happened to me twice at SBX in downtown Palo Alto), or if you get harassed while visiting one of the stores - which happened to me when dozens of crazed internet fanatics descended on this store while I was present in the past week.

I originally gave 5 stars but changing to 1 star. Would give zero if I could. The older lady with the brunette hair was rude to me. She did not greet me like the other customers. On my way out I said thank you and got nothing in response. I watched. She told the other customers have a nice day.

This downtown Starbucks is clean and has spaced indoor and outdoor seating. My drink was promptly and accurately prepared.
