I was in the mood for Chinese food, so ordered take out from here. The restaurant seems nice inside with ample seating and a cool fish tank. Only a few gluten-free options on the menu. Ordered Broccoli Chicken and a side rice. The larger pieces of broccoli were undercooked (which I suppose is better than overcooked).. The white rice was perfect. I added some GF soy sauce and sweet chili sauce on my meal that helped to juj-it-up!
There are five star restaurants that deserve more than five stars and that's probably why I'm writing a review here. FEY is a somewhat odd Chinese restaurant. It has a menu of authentic Chinese, especially Szechuan and Cantonese, in the middle of Atherton and Menlo Park where Asians are not known to gather. It also serves American Chinese foods, which imo is a waste of talent and hard to say a good call since it's competing with the price of Panda's for that category. As much as I'm dubious about whether they have a clear plan of what market they're targeting, I'm very certain that their food can be placed on the tables in those hundred million dollar mansions around without any feels of strangeness.
We were staying at the hotel next to the restaurant. Wanted to order some takeout food to have later in the evening when things were closed. Ordered an appetizer and an entrée for two people, when the gentleman rang us up he repeated the order, we asked if Rice was included he said no so we asked for fried rice with that. Another $12 added to the bill and we received a portion of rice that was larger than the one entrée we had ordered. Got back to the room and he had not included the spicy oil sauce and soy sauce that was requested. The food was very good rice was delicious, but I felt that the service could’ve been a little friendlier and helpful.
Excellent food, very clean and spacious. All staff were friendly and efficient. We had 3 different dishes and they were all delicious
I order take out (delivery) from various restaurants often. I just ordered a lot of dishes and every single one was over-greasy and tasteless. Even their cold cucumber salad was greasy. I would not recommend it. Menlo Park resident.
Absolutely loved every single dish at this restaurant. Very authentic Chinese dishes and flavors. Not so overwhelming if you’re not used to the strong Chinese flavors. We hosted a large event gathering here and they were able to accommodate our group of 40 people. Lots of seating.
Really nice place. Great service. Bit pricey for what it is (standard American Chinese food). But it tastes good and hits the spot when you are craving some American style Chinese food. Solid 4/5, but never disappoints. You should give it a chance!
Ordered take out. Private kitchen lamb is amazingly good! Bell pepper and pork stir fry is also yummy.Food was packaged nicely and the soup didn't spill at all.
Our favorite as authentic Chinese restaurant right now. We often get it via UberEATS. The stir fried prawns are great!
This is my favorite restaurant in the area. The dishes are superb, the menus inventive, the service warm and impeccable and the atmosphere sophisticated yet comfortable. I am confused by some of the negative ratings I saw on Yelp. They do not match my experience at all. They are misspelled and poorly written....
