Simply put, an amazing small little place hidden away! Came here just to eat a little and relax. Absolutely loved the food! Unagi was delicious, the the tonkatsu was perfect! Exactly what I was looking for!
Good cuts of nigiri. Their selection has not returned to pre-pandemic levels yet.
I ordered a Dragon Roll along with 2 orders of Unagi. The owner I’m assuming is nice and helpful on choosing orders - he even gave me some miso soup for free while I wait. I’m definitely coming back here for lunch after work.

I absolutely love this authentic Japanese restaurant! Food is freshly made ? in less than 10 min. Plus, the service at Dashi feels homey, friendly, and they’re very efficient!! One of the best Japanese food restaurants in the Bay Area for a very fair price!?
BEST, freshest, inventive. Huge pieces of Nigiri sushi. Won't go anywhere else. Not best ambiance so we are carry out regulars but great, friendly, hardworking staff. John the owner is a picky fish buyer, lucky for us!
