Lumar is awesome. Great waiter and shucker! Yummy food! Oysters, hella good and fresh. Clam chowder is amazing and their seafood michelada is so good! Love the energy!
Oyster bar, craft beer, cupcakes, deli and more. Such a cute indoor market with 6+ vendors.
Bought 4 $6 cupcakes for my son's birthday. They were so dry, it made me think they perhaps sold me week-old cupcakes. I am not sure what's worse-the thought that the cupcakes sold are old or that they are just making them that dry. Only 2 (shared between us) were eaten and the rest thrown out. The $2 sparkler they sold was cute, though.
Needs more shops/restaurants. Good effort I guess. We only ate at the Cupcake place so can't speak on the others... The Cupcake place is just ok... Typical cupcakes from the 2010s. The coffee from the Cupcake place was nasty... Watered down muddy water. The upstairs was nice to chill and rest. Overall it's OK. Can be so much more. Will definitely come back though and try the seafood spot and the bakery upftont next time.
Martinez is coming up, oysters and calm chowder are on point! Nice beer selection at the Taphouse but, be careful of the sours they will have you shithoused before you know why you are stumbling.
Great new spot in Martinez. Lots of workspaces in the mornings and amazing food options. A beautiful amount of natural light with the large windows and friendly staff.
What a great addition to downtown Martinez! Can’t say enough about the amazing food and friendly atmosphere.Definitely a must see spot if you’re in the area.
This market has an excellent food selection with a great downtown Martinez location. Ordered a sandwich from the East Bay Artisan vendor and it was delicious! Can’t wait to visit again and check out the taproom.
This is the new favorite place for my friends and I to meet up, hang out and feast on some great food. All the people are very friendly and the upstairs lounge or the courtyard fire pit are super chill. We came on Friday and Saturday night. Great new addition to Martinez. Feels more like Sausalito when you're inside.
New market, great quality food. Smaller side though; space can make ordering a tad awkward with passing foot traffic.Tried the Moroccan restaurant and the cake shops coffee, and ate them on the mezzanine (fancy for indoor balcony) . At the time of writing there are two places not opened yet. All the places are staffed and seem popular. The Moroccan food, chicken couscous was great, and the mezzanine space is really nice. I can see myself coming back when it's not busy to relax while watching main street. But one draw back- size. There are a lot of businesses packed in here. Particularly the 3 on the left side (one of which is the Moroccan place, the oyster place, and the pending craft beer and pizza place). It's an awkward setup, since all 3 are within 5 feet of each other. You'll Likely order and need to sit relatively close by as they don't use order beepers (yet?). It's Easy to miss your order when it's ready and not know it. They're definitely doing well despite the space limitations, it's very impressive. imagine everyone just needs a bit more experience and organization to get there footing for larger crowds. But if this place was full up I'd recommend going elsewhere instead of waiting as of now. Personal preference, but I wouldn't want to be packed like sardines in here on a Friday or Saturday night. There doesn't seem to be a reservation system (yet?).Time will tell though! It's all very new, so I'll likely update with a new review later when I try the other places.Other notes:Make sure not to miss the beer graden in the back that connects to Fives suns and States. The bench's seats upstairs swivel, so careful not to tip over.
