Tried the Manhattan Beach store first, then been to the Marina del Rey store several times since then. Consistent quality. Very good fish. The ponzu sauce is very good, but the rice tends to fall apart. Not a big deal, but you should be aware of that. The handrolls are outstanding with the crisp nori wrapped around them. I've had the "Don't Think, Just Eat," but have gotten into the pattern of ordering the Trust Me, and adding on another handroll. My wife orders the Trust Me, and adds on the Hokkaido sea scallops. For lunch it comes in at just under $100. We usually eat outside on the patio. Service is excellent. The consistency of the rice is very good.
Every time I eat at Sugarfish I leave so happy. The fish just melts in my mouth like butter. I can’t wait to come again and again. I’ll have to try the one in NYC which is closer than LA!
Got a box for take out- so so yummy! Quality of fish is great and it comes with everything you need. 10/10 would recommend.
After 2+ hours of waiting for my food I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the sushi. All of my sushi smelt & tasted fishy - this is my 10+ time ordering from here and hope the is just a fluke!

I’m an idiot and didn’t order the set menu but it was still absolutely delicious. Salmon kombu was my favourite.

Come around opening time - you won't regret it! Had the $39 option and each plate was *chef's kiss*. My favourite was the tuna in their ponzu sauce. Worth the money and great service.
Sugarfish is so consistently delicious. Every time I come to LA I have to visit, it's a favourite. Fish quality is top notch.
