Literally THE best rolls you can get in the city. They are so fresh, it’s unbelievable. It tastes like they literally make it right after catching the fish, and yet somehow it tastes so good without being overly fishy. The seaweed is crisp, but you need to eat it right away! Don’t let it sit! Even after a minute, it will lose some crispiness. Somehow, the rice is also extraordinary. It’s like some magic food that they use that just tastes perfect!! High prices, but that’s as to be expected from a fancy fish place like this. Expect to have a normal dinner with drink for $25 pp, and if you want to be absolutely stuffed it’s gonna be closer to $35. Aside from the lackluster value, highly recommend this place!
One of my favorite hand roll restaurant. My partner and I usually frequent the Santa Monica location, however, we were closer to MDR on this day. Quality and service was terrific. There's free parking in this plaza.

Hands down, my favorite handroll in LA. This locale is larger than the one in Santa Monica; we went with a party of 4 on a Saturday around 7p and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. I've always gone with the 5 or 6 roll combo and have never been disappointed.
Honestly this chain is over hyped. Fish was an OK quality. Toro and salmon were kinda bland. The yellowtail and scallop were surprisingly good. The crab and lobster were good but you could get just as good quality at most sushi places. The wasabi was too mild. You also don't get much fish.
We waited for ~20 minutes on a rainy night for dinner. The interior was pretty dimmed. Food and service were both decent. I wish they sold their Kazu Nori sake in the store. It was SO GOOD ?
Lovely simplistic hand rolls. The nori is crisp. Rice is perfectly seasoned and served at a warm temperature. The seafood fresh. I highly recommend the EEL hand roll!
You get to watch the rolls being prepared in front of you, hand delivered by the chef. Staff is very attentive, food is great, and love the bar setup. Also is a no-tipping establishment, so takes the stress out of paying.
