Used to patronize when it was Alejo. Hard to locate off Lincoln and Washington, but if you find it in the small mall you won't regret being there. It's now Eddie's.Went yesterday and got my usual, a lasagna. It was still good.In fact truth be told all the food is very good. Glad it's still open. Used to work down the street, came every 2-3 days and although the name is different, the food is very much the same.Good.
Half the tables needed to be cleaned. Got a calzone and it was straight trash. Been to 10 different locations and this was the worst. It was literally bread and cheese. No ricotta, no tomato sauce.
Frequented this establishment from before when it was still called Alejos. I assume, due to the constant mix ups with the other Alejos location further south on Lincoln, the restaurant changed its name to Eddie's. The menu and food remain the same. The bread has changed to a toasted bread which is nice, but not the same doughy bread from before. The garlic and Parmigian cheese is a staple and the pizza and pasta are tasty as usual. With the covid protocols and takeout only containers the portions seem a bit smaller but they were pretty large to begin with.
Excellent Italian restaurant. The food is always fresh and so good! The parking lot is small. Be patient! It's worth the wait to get a parking space because your meal will be delicious!
I'm so proud to be out here sharing your work Dr. kuta . I just can't believe this now my ex Husband is really back to me on his knees presenting a ruby rose begging me to take him back. And this whole miracle happened after i ordered an urgent 24hours, if you are for a solution like this contact him for help. [email protected] or whatsapp +2347054547814
The food here is pretty freaking delicious and the service is awesome. They have an excellent menu and the staff are really friendly here too.
Been coming here since Alejo was alive in the early 90s and have always enjoyed the tasty, large and reasonably priced portions. After a hiatus, we went last night with the intention of enjoying a sit-down dinner, but were immediately told they did not have waiters and that our dinner would be served in a take-out bag which we could unpack at one of their tables if we wished. The rest was up to us. When I asked one of the guys when waiters would be returning, the answer I got was "I don't know. They don't tell us nothing". So the new over-sized menus seemed to have most of the offerings from the previous menu, except that there were no longer the lower priced "children's" plates that I used to like since they were just enough for my appetite after a salad and perhaps another appetizer. Another thing I noticed was an add-on for use of credit cards - come on, I know we're in a pandemic, but this is no way to win old customers back. So on to the food which we decided to take home since the dining room looked totally barren and uninviting. The large house salad tasted pretty much as before and it was large enough for 2 people. I did have to transfer it to a large bowl to mix it with the dressing as their compact metal container made mixing almost impossible. Fried Calamari was one of our favorites over the years. By the time we got it home, it was limp and unappetizing. We tried popping it into a convection oven, but no amount of heat could restore the crispness that we used to know. Spaghetti with Meatballs. The spaghetti was a gooey glop of pasta that did not really have any taste and the sauce was only a whisper. Their vaunted meatballs which I loved over the years were now hard golf balls. A true disappointment. The Pasta Alfredo was more of the same gluey yuk and we couldn't eat it after a few forkfuls. I noticed that they made it with Half and Half now, vs cream. And the chewy bread which we loved over the years has changed to an ersatz variety with the consistency of Wonder Bread. They used to make their bread in house and it was always delicious - fortunately they have retained their garlic olive oil sauce, but I did not want to waste it on this "new" bread. Unfortunately, most of the food will be thrown out. I sure hope they can return to their formula of the last 25 years or I will never patronize them again.
Great food, Mostly. The Angel hair pasta dish was like a sticky ball of dough with little flavor. Very Good eggplant. Ordered ahead, Told pick up in 15 min. Arrived & Waited there for 40 min. Was given a free tiramisu.
I first started patronizing Eddie's Italian while driving a cab in 2010 or so on advice of one of my clients, a pilot. His advice consisted of two tips:-"Stop off at the 7-Eleven next door and pick up a tall boy before you eat."While Eddie's does not serve alcohol, they do have a $0 corkage fee, essentially a drink-if-you-got-em policy. Bring your own beer and wine for a more elevated dining experience.-"Order the linguine with clams."I've been here probably 50 or 60 times, ordered other stuff a few times but this is really where Eddie's stands out. This place is super consistent and super cheap. The downside is you have to deal with a cramped parking lot full of questionable characters. Personally, I've never had a problem with anyone there but I know people who have. Quite a few wingnuts that like hanging out around the 7-Eleven and the donut shop.If you brave the obstacles, however, you will be rewarded.
Ravioli was awesome. Creamy, tasty, filling and my girlfriend had the chicken parmesan and we both couldn't finish the plates because of how much food you get. Service with a smile and clean .
