Great food, service, and patrons ! We had issues with our credit card as we are traveling and another table noticed and bought our meal. I can't believe how wonderful that felt when we were stressing out. What's funny is that we paid a meal for another table just a week ago on mother's day, so paying it forward and karma is real!I felt the love and generally speaking the atmosphere here is so welcoming. I came here specifically for the interesting Hawaiian food and boozy brunch ! They offered many flavored mimosas, micheladas, bloody Mary's, and I think a beer for their bottomless booze options. Also have a massive collection of hot sauces !!Definitely recommend
I went to this place and I have health issues so I can't have a yokes and so I looked on the menu and you know the French toast then the Belgian waffles have chocolate all over them and then everything else had eggs. On the menu it says you can have your eggs anyway you like so that was awesome so I ordered egg whites and they don't make them and they refused to make them and so there was really nothing I could eat there and some of my daughters had to leave their drinks and we left and I just think that is so rude I mean takes five seconds to separate an egg and I was paying for it so what's the big deal it was a really unfriendly place.
Other than being a bit busy...typical for Sunday brunch. Everyone was super friendly and the food was amazing. The French toast was best I've had in a long while and the Portuguese sausage was amazing. Kids portions were very large for price. Will definitely be back
Food was on point! There was a bit of a wait but that’s to be expected with a little gem like this. Staff was friendly & there definitely was an ohana vibe.
I will be coming back very soon. I almost wish I didn't eat so fast because the Cajun Pasta I just had was amazing! Everything about the dish was on point. It was the kind of spice that you know you can handle and completely wakes up your taste buds. If spice isn't your thing, I can without a doubt recommend the simple yet equally as delicious Avocado and bacon toast with an over easy/medium egg. I'm excited to go back and try the Hawaiian French toast.
Went to Manteca and found this local restaurant. Definitely worth a visit you will not be disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the drinks were great. Highly recommend a visit. I had the French toast which was soooo good! My husband had the Cajun shrimp which he loved. We will definitely be going again and taking family and friends.
We drive by My Friend's Place on a weekly basis and kept saying we got to try that place. Well today we did and had a wonderful brunch. Service was excellent food was great. Will definitely go back and we want to try their dinner menu. Recommend you give it a try also.
Always a fantastic time. Andrew always makes you feel like a good friend! All the staff is so friendly. Food is wonderful every time! Endless mimosas and variety of flavors...What can I say ? Makes you want to come back before you even leave!
So so good
Cute small place with delicious Hawaiian themed food! I got kalua pork fries and added eggs on top, it was Soo good! Hubby got the Portuguese omelet and I must say the sausage was really tasty! Didn't expect the Mac salad to have tuna in it. It was good, just not what I expected. The biscuits and gravy were really yummy and didn't taste sweet at all, in spite of supposedly having pineapple in the gravy. The mimosas were great! Had to wait about 30min on a Sunday around 1030 but was worth the wait. Apparently there are only a couple brunch/mimosa spots in town so you're in for a wait on a weekend morning. We were visiting. Would definitely go again next time I'm in Manteca.
