Lived in Manteca for 18 months and never realized just what Ernieâs wasâ¦I thought it was a âCasino Restaurantââ¦wow was I ever wrong. Pricey, but well worth it, in my opinion!
Always exceptional service. Food and drinks are incredible.
We had great drinks from the bar, a Lemon Drop and Palermo. We split a decent wedge salad. We got a fantastic burger and one of the finest NY steaks we have ever tasted. We got a side of Mac n Cheese with the addition of lardon after a suggestion from our server. Our service started out fantastic, but I must say failed horribly. Once our main course was served, we never saw our server again until another server saw how ignored we had been and tried to intervene. She got us water since we had absolutely no water during our main course. I had a minor choking episode and desperately needed water and could not get any until our meal was finished. So 3 Stars is all we can give because poor service ruins a meal. Can we recommend it? No, not acceptable for a $200 meal.

Two hours before our reservation we were called and told they were canceling our reservation" "due to a technical" issue. No other explanation. Have to assume they were not paying attention to open table reservations... won't be making important occasion reservations w Ernie's ever again. So unprofessional.
The food was so good as well as the service. I will be back for sure.
