Beautiful ambiance with an amazing view. Service is so friendly and helpful. Brussels sprouts and corn were great as appetizers.Avocado salad was a great recommendation from our waiter. Barbacoa tacos were a hit as well.
That is the best example of great restaurant! Everyone is welcome you, all stuff are smiling and helpful! Great food and cocktails!I had great experience - thank you - and I hope all your guests will have the same!
Okay so the strand house is a uniquely different place. The service as I have observed was great my server kind of slow but she was great. I found it interesting that they offered donuts for a dessert but to each his own. I don't know that I would eat there on my own as I met a party there but I just didn't enjoy the food like I thought I would.
Stumbled upon this amazing restaurant basically on the strip in Manhattan Beach. Stunning views of the ocean while you enjoy the most amazing food. Definitely recommend this restaurant to all foodies!
The Strand has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean from most tables and is a gorgeous & trendy restaurant. Other positives include excellent salads and the amazing homemade donuts for dessert. Unfortunately, we had very poor service, including waiting 20 minutes for our drinks & water to be brought to the table and having to nearly tackle our server another 15 to 20 minutes later to get her to take our order. Furthermore, the halibut I had seemed to have little or no seasoning and was painfully bland. My wife's Branzino was good, so my suggestion would be to avoid the awful halibut and order Branzino or something else. For a $43 fish entree, I expected more.
True to its name, The house on the Manhattan Beach Strand welcomes its guest with impeccable service and scrumptious food. With its perfect location next to the Manhattan Beach Pier, the two level restaurant offers its patrons a 180 degree spectacular view of the pacific ocean. Many people come for the view and to enjoy the food.We have been to this restaurant many times to celebrate special occasions. This time, we brought our out of town friends to experience the South Bay sunset and hospitality. With the delectable food prepared by the culinary team led by chef Craig Hopson and the five star service from our friendly server Rick, our friends were truly impressed and really enjoyed their dining experience at the Strand House.Although the food were not cheap, each dish was delicious and well presented. Most beach restaurants on the beach with views don't offer good food. The Strand House put a lot of efforts on the quality of the food. Our waiter Rick told us that the restaurant sources its ingredients from the local farms and the seafood market. They adjust the menu seasonally to select the best and freshest products for their menu.We can really appreciate the freshness of each dish we ordered. My friend and my wife got the short ribs. The short rib beefs were cooked to perfect tenderness and the sauce accompanied the dish was very tasty. My other friend likes seafood and she ordered the Bronzino fish. According to my friend, the fish was done right and the meat was tender and flavorful and the skins were crispy. Finally, my pepperoni pizza, although it's a simple dish, I have to said this restaurant offers one of the best pizzas in town. The crust was baked to crunchy outside with slight soft texture dough inside. The pepperonis sausages fillings were very tasty. The Strand House also offers one of the most comprehensive cocktail drink menus in the area. It was a shame that we didn't have a chance to sample some of those fancy drinks. There are plenty of parking spots around the restaurant. I chose the meter parking lot in front of the restaurant. If you can't fin a spot there, there are several public parking structure on the next street north of the restaurant.
A wonderful restaurant with different seatings to suit your taste. You can sit downstairs at the bar with no reservation required. Upstairs with and without sea view probably will require a reservation. There are a couple outdoor seating areas, one at street level and the other on the second floor with a great sea view. On the day of our visit, it was quite windy but patio heaters kept us comfortable. The service and the food were just amazing. Oyster selection was delicious. I liked the seasoning on the Peruvian style chicken and the accompanying vegetables. However, the highlight of the meal was the carjjllo coffee with my desert.
Very nice place with delicious food and extremely professional staff. If you want to have a special dinner ask for an ocean view table. It really deserves the price. The fish dishes are delicious (the octopus and branzino are highly recommended) with very good deserts also. It’s location is very good just in front of the pier. Do not miss the sunset!!!
First time at this restaurant and was not let down. The online reviews are spot on. Wonderful view of the ocean. Downstairs was comfortable and easy in and out. Started with octopus app followed by sea base. Both were really good and we'll presented. My server was super attentive and prompt. Love this place and highly recommend.
Gorgeous restaurant, spectacular view, great customer service from beginning to end, and yummy food (brunch). Bonus John our server was awesome!
