Loved the food and after hours they had a DJ and a band that was awesome. Great experience
The penne vodka here is outstanding. Highly recommend just based on that, will definitely be back to try more.
Steak was weirdly super salty. Fair warning that they refuse to provide utensils for carry out, even when asked multiple times and assured they are in the bag. I ended up eating caveman style at my hotel. Olive oil is crazy spicy.
We held an awards luncheon with 35 attendees, which went perfectly! The food and service was excellent, and they even helped carry in my table gifts, flowers, etc. Carlos and Haydee took great care of us, our meeting went on beautifully with no interruptions or distractions, and everyone loved the food. I will definitely go there again.
AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL, DARE I SAY PERFECT RECEPTION AT LIDO DI MANHATTAN RISTORANTE IN MANHATTAN BEACHI needed to find a restaurant with an outdoor dining area (due to Covid) for the reception part of my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. I just did not need a restaurant for my guests, I needed a place to celebrate. I called Lido spoke with Lisa (turns out she is the Owner) and she was so nice, helpful, flexible, warm, and accommodating. My daugher and I went to Lido and met Lisa in person and had dinner. The food that I tried that night was amazing. I started with a Caesar Salad and it was chilled perfectly with the right balance of shaved parmesan cheese, croutons, lettuce, and dressing. Then for my main dish I had Chicken Marsala and I took Lisa’s suggestion, to have it with mashed potatoes instead of the traditional pasta. The mashed potatoes were fantastic as I believe they added a little blue cheese to them. My daughter had a very delicious spaghetti with meatballs. We ate on the patio and it was beautiful. Carlos, the General Manager, came over and started designing various seating plans. My daughter and I finished up our wonderful meal with Chocolate Mouse (which was encased in a delectable chocolate shell). The food was fantastic and very well-priced. I told Lisa that it was fine dining at “mom and pop” pricing. Even parking is a breeze.Over the next few weeks, Lisa, my daughter, and I put together the menu and tried several dishes. The Chicken Parmesan was superb. A few days later, I tried the Grilled Salmon with broccolini and spinach and it was prepared perfectly. At my next visit, I had the Vodka Pasta – wow! It was at this point that I told Lisa that I had a dilemma as I tried four dishes and they were all my favorite so I could not decide which dish to order on the night of my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah reception. With a great deal of patience and guidance from Lisa, my daughter and I chose the menu for her reception, starting with 4 appetizers (making sure that each guest would get one of each). We chose the Fried Baby Artichokes, Avocado & Goat Cheese Crostini, Grilled Chicken Skewers with Peanut Sauce, and what turned out to be my favorite, Mini Tomato Soup Cups with Mini Grilled Cheese Bites. Then we chose the Caesar Salad. For the Main Course, each guest had the choice of Spaghetti with Meatballs (the choice of many of the teenagers), Lemon Heb Crusted Salmon with Mashed Potatoes, Vegetarian Vodka Pasta, Chicken Parmesan with Pasta, or Chicken Marsala with Mashed Potatoes. All dishes were served with seasonal vegetables. For Dessert, the guests had the choice of Homemade Tiramisu or Chocolate Mousse. Coffee was included as was Passion Fruit Iced Tea and Lemonade.Lido has a large screen television which was perfect for our slide show. On the patio, there was even room for a Photo Booth. Caley from Lido created a beautiful custom decorative keepsake menu for each guest. Lisa catered to our every request (e.g., even allowing us to come inside and do the “Hora” Dance which we lifted my daughter high in the air on a chair). As a final surprise, Lisa (whom my daughter adores) came to the party just to wish my daughter a special in-person congratulations.I hate to use the word “perfect” but Lisa, Carlos, Caley, and Lido made this the perfect night in every respect. Whatever we asked for, Lisa agreed to. Finally, I must add that Lisa is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is knowledgeable, patient, helpful, very friendly, and made sure that every detail was taken care of which allowed my daughter and me to sit back and enjoy this very special and meaningful evening.I give Lido my highest recommendation as a restaurant and as a venue for your special party/event.I can’t speak highly enough about Lido and Lisa. I promise you, you will be wowed when you eat there. I have dined at Lido several times now and every time I leave there in awe as to the flavor and creativity of their food (brie filled croutons – who knew and they were spectacular!).Lloyd B..
This was some of the best Italian I’ve ever had! The noodles were freshly made, sauce was delicious and it was more food than we could eat. I had the mushroom parpardelle and it was amazing. I also had a crème brûlée. We were visiting the area on vacation from KY - but the food was so good if we are ever remotely nearby again I would definitely make a detour to eat here. You won’t be disappointed!
Delicious menu, hand crafted cocktails and satisfying wine list. Ordered appetizers for my dinner; an order of butternut squash ravioli and an order of seared scallops...not taking away from the ravioli, which was excellent, but the scallops were so well prepared that I ordered a second helping!!! My lady ❤️ had crabmeat pasta, also wonderful...We walked in at 5pm, but by 6:30 the place was bustling. Filled mostly by tables reserved by the evening guests.Very pleasant and attentive staff.Recommend highly!!! Recommend making reservations...
The staff was very attentive. I enjoyed the seared ahi tuna steak with wasabi mashed potatoes. My wine was a nice pairing. My daughter did not like her Caesar salad. The chicken tasted a bit off and the dressing was not her favorite. The bread they brought to the table was delicious.
This Chef Gates, seen your restaurant on Kitchen Nightmares an proud you really deserve to be happy keep doing what your doing and lighting that spark. Haven't ate there yet, put stay on the narrow path, because the sky is the limit to do whatever, you got too keep believing in what your want the most. Keep Sparking the Magic
A simple restaurant on Rosecrans that serves standard Italian fare that is average at best. It’s a local restaurant with reasonable prices, average quality and decent service. By no means high-end, it’s a decent place for lunch but beyond that not much to say.
