I’m so sad to say this place has gelato that is mostly tasting like sugar.I was excited to try this gelato but all flavors I tried were so bad. Two of my group still ended up getting gelato and I tasted theirs again after we left the store and again just sugar. You can do better.Salted pistachio…omg why? Keep it simple and delicious.The location is great. The service was very friendly and the gelato shop is pretty. Juts wish the gelato tasted good.
Location is awesome - very near the beach. It is one of the good gelato walking distance to the beach.But the quality of gelato is not good at-least by LA standards. For example …”baccio de latte” gelato or even Eately gelato is much better. 10 mins drive you have “gelato-go el sugando”which is much better than this.I have never thrown a gelato. I had to throw the coconut one.They write “ingredients imported from Italy” but when I asked they said it’s only a few.I tried dark chocolate and coconut. Next time I will stick to dark chocolate.
The 3 scoops ice cream for 13 14 $ wasn’t worse it b/c they were almost melted before I started eating The name Gelato calls for denser, creamer texture let me tell you my experience was opposite.
Customer service was horrible. The young woke girl straight up told me and my bf 2 samples per person. However, the customers after us, an elderly pair of female white ladies came in and she immediately greeted them and gave them exemplary customer service the whole time. As we were leaving, they asked are you giving samples? And she responded, most definitely as many as you like!Like what!? So rude and horrendous customer service. Almost felt racism. She was black, we're brown. She was passive aggressive the whole time even with the male customers in front of us. She got my bfs order wrong, and after he corrected her she got even more passive aggressive, started banging her blender and spoons, and super passive with me too. Asking me if I wanted her to teach me how to pronounce certain names of their gelato flavors, - like what!? Being really rude and just making our outing very uncomfortable. Regret tipping her especially after hearing the way she attended the ladies after us.The gelato itself was really good. Loved the strawberry with chocolate marbles but doubt I'll go back after such an unpleasant experience.
The dessert was good. But the service from the ugly scrawny female idk if she’s the manager, was very condescending. Very bad for the business. Maybe she should fix that attitude before heading to work. She could probably get high blood pressure from all her negative energy and attitude. No cap. (And all the reviews seem to be talking bad about her, maybe it’s time for her to get a new job?) Oh wait no one wants people with bad attitudes attending guests. Smh lol
This place should be 5 stars all the way. Who could ever rate it less? Maybe they have no soul. Incredible service and Choices. Love the lavender gelato

I used to go to Gelato in Fashion Island, Newport Beach, and I though that was the same quality but I was completely worng, the girl didn't know the prices for almost every single item, Also ths ice-cream tasted bad and the waffle was hard to eat..The two flavors were nothing compared to others Gelato,, others stores you can't finish the 2 or the 3 flavors, really noway but for thier ice-cream was a big joke.... Just go to Gelato in Fashion Island and you will get the huge difference between both of them .

We found this place just by yelping. Omg their ice cream is so amazingly delicious!! So smooth and creamy! So many flavors! I wish they had a location in Phoenix!! I had 3 flavors, mint, la breA (chocolate mousse and brownies) and cookies and cream. I wish I could have tried more of their flavors! Their pistachio looks delicious! And coconut! Yum!
