Excellent upscale seafood in Manhattan Beach! Loved the ambiance and the food was excellent. I did the ciopinno and my wife did the mahi mahi - simply great. The shrimp cocktail was great and 5 shrimps to share. Also great draft beer and Felix gave us great service. We brought our own wine and paid the $20 corkage fee. It was all actually priced fairly reasonable for California.

One of my favorite South Bay restaurants. Love fish bay everything is always so fresh and the service is excellent. I prefer to sit outside in the summer and nosh. The oysters, calamari and mahI mahI are delicious. Love their fish tacos too. And best sweet potato fries ever!
6/20/22What an amazing lunch today. Drinks, appetizer and I had the Honey Chipotle Salmon and my wife had the Halibut entree. Kat our favorite server was extraordinary and such a pleasure.A plus plus all the way around. Kat our server hit a grand Slam regarding customer service, kindness and positivity. My wife and I started with a few drinks and the coconut shrimp and yes I had a cup of their amazing new England clam chowder, simply heavenly. For dinner my wife ordered the fresh seasonal halibut with brown rice and sautéed spinach, oh yes..a home run. I ordered the Honey Chipotle Salmon with mashed potatoes and a Brussel sprout veggie slaw...this dish was just plain amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and of course the fresh sourdough bread as well. One of our favorite places and Kat is like family.4/9/2022Another wonderful afternoon at The Fish Bar. What an awesome location as your day might include a stroll down to the beach to just chill or catch a cool sunset. There is a public parking structure right across the street where you can park for 2hrs for $3.75 and reload as needed. When you go to this fine local establishment make sure you ask to sit in Kat's section as her positive energy, knowledge of the menu and food preparation etc. besides her amazing service and personality, she is our favorite.Also ask that Josh mixes your drinks as he is quite the professional and skilled bartender. The manager is also quite friendly and helpful and runs a wonderful restaurant. So we started with Patron Margaritas and then New England Clam Chowder and Sourdough bread fresh from the oven...OMG so so good. My wife ordered the Halibut dinner entree with a Cajun kick accompanied with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach and just loved every last morsel. I ordered the filet mignon with the same sides accompanied with some wonderfully grilled shrimp. Also we must mention Gerardo who helps with serving, in the kitchen and all around as he was so efficient and humble we had to call him over and thank him personally for his amazing efforts and caring demeanor. My wife and I love this place and every time we are in the South Bay area we have to swing by and enjoy a few cocktails each, some amazing food, service and people.Highly recommended.Prior VisitWhat a great find. Had Filet Mignon with shrimp skewers, sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes and the wife had sea bass with the same sides. A few top quality drinks and of course a coconut shrimp appetizer. Pure heaven! Another great meal and drinks.. Kat is superb at her trade as a customer service server extraordinare and the bartender and cooks prepare piping hot meals. They have a great selection of dishes including mussels, clams, ahi tuna, sea bass, steaks, fish and chips, sandwiches and so much more. All of it comes out perfectly cooked and served hot and tasty. The clam chowder is awesome as are their salads and appetizers and don't forget to ask for their fresh and warm sourdough bread, umm umm good. Give a shout out to Kat and let her know you want to sit in her section as she is simply the best. My wife and I are foodies and of course I am an elite yelper who enjoys complimenting good food, hard work and warm thoughtful personalities. I must have had one drink too many, lol, or am just getting up there and forgot my credit card in the restaurant and when I got outside to get in our vehicle, here comes Kat and the amazing manager with my card.Highly recommended and we are now regulars and visit a few times monthly. After your meal take a stroll down to the beach which is right behind the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Great service. My partner and I loved the clam chowder. The sourdough bread was toasted and warm. The food was overall great, we will come back soon.

Fantastic clam chowder!The dessert was worth the trip itself. We had the caramel ice cream dipped in dark chocolate.A very busy place and for a good reason.This will always be my first stop if I ever hit Manhattan Beach again.
Nice place! After a day at the beach, the wife an I were ready to eat.Didn't have to wait long for a seat and got a great spot outside.Our server was quick. As soon as we were seated we had ice cold water without even having to ask! Love it!We started with some Coconut shrimp for an appetizer. FANTASTIC.The wife got the Blackend salmon and avocado tacos. The salmon was moist and flavorful an perfectly cooked. We also ordered the Crab MacN cheese with white truffle oil to split. Absolutely recommend!I went with the Mesquite grilled shrimp and scallops skewer with a side of fried shrimp. Sooo good!!!The ambience was great, the food was great, the service was great.What can I say, we really loved it. Will be definitely coming back!
It was a very nice environment and we had a great time in the restaurant. The food taste delicious and server were friendly.
I went to the Rockin Fish Bar in downtown and thought that Calamari was better for $18 and you got so much more. But the 50/50 with clams and mussels was sooooo delicious!
