They try to sell you as authentic but it is isn’t. We bought the tlayudas and none of them had “Oaxaca quesillo” even though it’s on the menu. The service was very slow and they just wanted to argue and did want to be corrected. I hope they take our advice and change. I don’t mind paying but I want to pay for what you say is in my food. Run far away from this place. If zero was an option that’s what I would give them.
Worsts place ever ! No parking and employees have bad attitudes. The food is so bland. So many other authentic restaurants in the plaza wish I would have went somewhere else. Save your money and try one of the many great other options there are in the Plaza Mexico.
Food over priced, no original flavor or traditional flavor. Lovely presentación thou. Won't be going back.. spent 103.00 dls sooo not worth it.
Real de Oaxaca’s moles were OK, but the chicken in each dish was very bland.(Do yourself a favor & visit La Casita Mexicana instead: their moles are delicious, & their chicken is delectably flavorful. You’ll also save a few bucks.)
The waiting time was not bad at 10 minutes in dinner hours, cocktails they were good had the mezcalada and they have a bunch of other drinks, other than that if you really like Oaxaca food this is not the place. Agua de horchata didn't taste like nothing and it supposedly had to have tuna and it didn't, I ordered the tlayuda, and let me tell you, you can't go wrong making tlayudas yet they messed it up. The meat was already cold and didn't have any flavor I'm talking cecina, chorizo and enchilada, nothing, which are the ones that add ton of flavor. It looked good when they brought it out but man. I was really disappointed overall.
I walked in the restaurant and placed an order to go. When I received my order I requested kindly some of the tortilla chips with the coloradito sauce that they served to all custumers while they wait for their food. The person that served me told that my order didn't come with that. I became a bit disappointed with that answer. So kindly explain to him that ok; I knew it didn't come with my order, but I wanted some of those chips. I wouldn't had asked for that if I knew it was impossible. His answer really shocked me because he simply said that the restaurant had discontinued those items, and they no longer served that. I told him that I had just read them in their menu... he repeated himself but added that he was a new employee there and that was all he knew.
The first time here, the food was really disappointing no flavor at all. The service was good . The only thing that I really like was the tortillas .really disappointing.

Excellent place to have a reception, I had a party of 25 people and the service was great. My tables were ready at the time of my reservation, the food was served fast after it was ordered. The waiters very friendly and professional, and very attentive to my guest. Had a great time, they even allowed me to bring my own cake. Could not been more satisfied with the entire experience.Thank you.
