Wow. We spent $60 on food and got no utensils, no napkins, missing sauces. We did an online order and they delivered without checking. Blurry photo, but it clearly shows we requested utensils and sauces. Definitely not a trustworthy place to get takeout from.
Can't believe I'll find the chicken of my dream here in LA. The best grilled chicken I've had in 10 years of my life!!I got:- half chicken plate + rice- kabob plate (beef & chicken)- baklavaIMO you can order anything but THE MUST is absolutely their half/full chicken. It's super juicy, fresh, aromatic, perfectly seasoned, every adjective you need to describe D E L I C I O U S!!RICE - it's very soft, has a hint of taste and still remain soft even after refrigerate + microwave it. You also can't go wrong with hummus here - seasoned and tasty. LOVE THEM!!Also must try: the little free garlic package!!Their *NEW* DTLA location is just 1.5 block from 7th Street Metro.
When your married to a Samoan and he Loves his Mayo!! We Always Love the food here at Zankou Chicken!! And Enjoying The Downtown Experience! Great customer service also! Very Clean Restaurant & Bathrooms!
First time there and overall not impressed. I tried the tri-tip shwarma and side of falafel. The shwarma had cold bread and was soggy from the sauce which tells me the bread is mediocre. The meat in shwarma lacked flavor and it only came with tomatoes to garnish it. The falafel was the only thing that made it okay, they were made to order and tasted decent. The garlic and tahini sauce were good. They also give you a side of pickled veggies (super small portion) they were okay. I also can't believe they actually charged $10 for the small shwarma, it's definitely not worth that and the side of falafel was $3 or $4 for two regular sized pieces, also not worth it. Overall barely two stars, I'll give them one more chance and next time I'll try the half chicken plate or chicken bowl but if they fail with that I'm positive I'll never eat at a Zankou Chicken again.
This is my favorite new chicken restaurant it's so tasty and clean. If your wondering if you should try it I say I Dare You, you won't be disappointed.
Ordered in store take out yesterday spent $36.00tritip/shrama and kabob combo plate meat small portions of meat overall. Cold containers salad package with hot meat falafel balls placed in bag with cold cups of garlic and tahini sauce so after 15 mins wait they put cold items with hot prepared items Unacceptable and not worth the $ nor wait.
So glad I stumbled across the place. Didn’t even know it was a chain around la. Tasty food, and felt kinda healthy even. Had the chicken kabob, chicken tarna looked even better…next time
Stopped by first time for their Grand Opening celebration and it's refreshing to have a Zankou Chicken open in downtown LA. Food is great as with the other Zankou locations and the staff was well trained and extremely friendly. I like how loyal the patrons are and it speads to the good food and service. Will remember this spot next time I'm in downtown LA again.
Good customer service. So happy this place In downtown Los Angeles.??Always had issues with Hollywood and sunset location worker's are rudeso happy I don't have to go that location anymore.
Great Mediterranean food with delicious shawarma. The garlic paste is to die for and their hummus was outbof this world. The site was clean, staff was friendly, and plenty of seating. The pickled radishes are a great touch.
