I've never eaten authentic Korean dishes so I was a little iffy to try it. The Spicy Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Pork Bulgogi are so good: I couldn't keep my fork down. The employees are so nice and attentive. This is a restaurant I'll definitely frequent more.

Because neighbor was too busy and needed to wait for a long time, I bought our dinner here. This is also authentic and spicy. Not a bad choice. The service is fast also.Well, not too much to say since I bought to go.

Great restaurant. Authentic Korean cuisine. Tons of food. Not cheap. I will definitely return back to Yangji Gamjatang Restaurant. The Staff and owners are very helpful and friendly.

Lot of great option for authentic Korean food. Very satisfied with the food and the choices.

They specialize in gamjatang and it's fantastic! Are the other dishes here good too? Probably but I won't be finding out....

i had the gamjatang and the portions was large and the serving was generous. it came with lots of banchan as well which can be topped up upon request.

2021.12-31/FRI_1100: OMG. We've been waiting to try the Mul Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles) but there were SO many other items that we wanted to try! Originally, we were going to get the Braised Short Rib (Maeun Cheese Gori Galbuim) but we figured that would be way too much since we wanted to try several dishes! We ended up getting the Beef Bulgogi, Beef Tendon Soup, Beef Brisket Soup and the Mul Naengmyeon. Everything was so perfect being that we wanted mainly meat dishes. Our AWESOME polyglot server was the man with helping us choose what we wanted. He rocked!Out came all the Banchans and they were incredible in flavor. We had a little side of Kkakdugi (radish kimchee), Baechu Kimchee (my ABSOLUTE favorite one), Eomuk Bokkeum (fried fish cake), Oi Muchim (spicy cucumber salad), pasta salad and sesame broccoli with tofu.About three minutes later, our Beef Tendon Soup and the Beef Brisket Soup arrived. Piping hot. It was perfect for me. I didn't want noodles in my Beef Tendon Soup. Just the meat and the broth. My type of soup. Like I said, our server knew EXACTLY what we wanted. The Beef Brisket Soup came with noodles, the perfect balance of meat and noodles. The reason why I didn't want any noodles - I was waiting for my favorite soup to come out... The Mul Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles Soup). This, my friends, is HEAVEN in a bowl. It's a Korean cold noodles in a chilled broth. Sounds a little crazy but once you take your first bite, you will be hooked. Ever since I had my first bite off the strip in Vegas, I've been destined to find a bowl locally in Los Angeles. It's cucumber and vinegar based broth will be so refreshing once it hits your lips. Sometimes it's served with potato or sweet potato noodles, this one was served with buckwheat noodles. Heaven in your mouth. The Beef Bulgogi was served just like it was in the picture we saw. A mound of delicous, tender slices of beef atop of Japchae (glass noodles) with caramelized green and white onions. Their Bulgogi was savory. They'll give you a serving of rice with your Banchans so no worry if you need rice with your Bulgogi. All in all, the experience was fantastic. We dined in and their service was also incredible. I was so happy that another person even acknowledged my little baby (bear) and she greeted him, too! We will definitely be back! We love Yangji Gamjatang!

I know the pictures look great but don't do it. Just don't. If you're here for the Galbi Jjim (braised short rib stew with cheese) because of Jerry Merihue or Mark Wiens' reviews, please do yourself a huge favor and just go next door to Sun Nong Dan. Those two YouTubers have absolutely no idea what they're talking about (case in point: you never hear them give negative feedback about anything they eat ever...but I digress). There's a reason Sun Nong Dan next door is almost always packed and has several locations while this place is always near empty: it's just not as good. The Galbi Jjim here was undercooked, overly sweet, and the sauce was caramelized/reduced. The potatoes and carrots were hard. We also ordered pork neck soup and a japchae. The soup was...fine, but the meat was dry. The japchae was extremely sweet; so sweet we didn't even pack it to go. We couldn't finish it, and since the meal was quite expensive for the three dishes (i.e., ~$135 with tax and tip) we ended up taking most of it home to re-cook. Ban-chan appetizers here were very meh too.I feel so bad for "cheating" on Sun Nong Dan but more so for wasting money and stomach space on a disappointing meal. The regret is going to ruin my whole day. Never again.

Get the pork neck soup for sure; it’s the restaurant’s namesake for a reason. Good flavor and comforting. Not a fan of the kim chi pancake - too sour and floppy; wish they were crispier. The galbi is also really good if you have a big appetite. Good meat with sweet and salty flavor. Add cheese and they put on a fire show that will get heads turned. The banchan are pretty good and diverse; never had the beans one before. It’s small inside and opened until 2.30a on a Sat (Fri night); there was a line but turn around was decently fast. Signs say vax proof required but they didn’t check us.
