We have a reservation for 11 person at 6pm. Our group of 5 person arrived at 6pm making sure we make it on time. However, the others have not yer arrived. So we are requested to wait. Seats will be assigned when we are at least 7 person. So while waiting i was able to go around the garden area and took some photos.Food here are very very good. And I can say consistent. This is my second time here and both times foods are very good.

Location! Location! The views are just amazing. Our server was really sweet and everything we ordered was so yummy. You have the option to have your food come out as each thing is ready or have the entire meal come out together. We chose the first option but we'll probably do that differently next time. One dinner item didn't arrive to the table until we were all done with everything else and it came really late. I don't know if they just forgot about making it until we asked about it the second time, but that was the only thing that made us think to choose differently on how we have it the order brought to the table when we go back. Regardless, it was all so delicious and won't prevent us from returning.

ABSOLUTELY WORST SERVICE!!!! My friends and I visited the hookah lounge and it was my first time as I was visiting from another country and my god….first of all we had a reservation and it took them 40 minutes to seat us because they were waiting for the hostess to come seat us at our table but she was nowhere to be found. It took so long that security was even wondering what was happening and why we weren’t seated. We finally get to our table which they sat us allllll the way in the back corner where we could see NOTHING. Why is that even a table? Our only view was the DJs bag and half of the DJ. The belly dancer and drummers completely ignored our table because we were seated in such an isolated area our View was the bathroom door. Our server (wish I got her name but she had curly hair) took down our order and wasn’t seen again for another 1.5 hours. She never brought us our hookah when we asked for something so simple. We got so irritated that we kept asking each waiter that walked by if they could get us one because our waitress decided to cater to larger groups for more tips of course and completely ignored us. We asked FOUR DIFFERENT WAITERS for ONE HOOKAH and not a SINGLE one of them could bring it????? Imagine if we ordered food. We would have to wait 5 business days to receive it. Finally I lashed out to one waiter and explained our whole situation and our waitress saw how heated we were that she came over and offered us a bottle of WATER on the house. Water….no reallly you shouldn’t have?. Like no honey go elsewhere with your poor service. One waiter felt so bad for us he brought us an extra hookah on the house (a more realistic offer) which still didn’t cover the fact that 2 hours went by with absolutely nothing but it was whatever. We hated our experience and highly recommend that people do not go there. Had a friend experience the same thing last week but I assumed it was because she went on the weekend during a busy time but no they’re simply terrible waiters who cater to a certain crowd of people for obvious reasons and ignore the rest of you. Btw the place wasn’t busy or full at all. They were simply ignoring us. The only reason this place got a 1 star is only because they had good music but the service would be in the negatives for me. Terrible terrible terrible

I have come to this establishment before and after Covid and I have to say as regulars, both the food and service are consistently Amazing! We’ve dined in most of the rooms both inside and out and every time it’s been 5 Star service and quality Cuisine. We had Quinton this time as our server he was wonderful but having said that every server we’ve had there has been been great. The views are unbeatable in Hollywood the most gorgeous panoramic views no matter where you sit apart from the inside garden which is still beautiful . I highly Recommend this restaurant .

Food was okay. We all had the Filet Mignon with Shrimp. It was decent, but mine was a tad overcooked and over seasoned. Our server was good, but he had too many tables to manage. We ordered the Pineapple fried rice and it was brought to us without a serving spoon or cup/plates to eat from. I had to help myself from the serving station. The portions were small as well. That said you are paying for the atmosphere and the views which are great. It was worth visiting at least once.

Upon arrival you simply are simply in awe of how beautiful this setting this is. If hill top dining is your thing, Yamashiro proudly states it's 605f up. The views are exceptional! However, this was and remains the only exceptional experience of the whole evening. Upon arrival you are checked in and told to wait in what can only be described as a 'Holding pen for disgruntled customers'!!! We were fortunate to be taken to our table quickly, however my fellow guests were less so. The waiter told us there's 750 capacity in the restaurant (yeah, it definitely shows mate. Seen shorter queues in LAX) FOOD We ordered the tempura shrimp to share with 36oz wagyu Tomahawk as a main. Although a measly portion (3) the shrimp were good they do add some fried veggies to pad out the plate, but those were well cooked too. Unfortunately there are BIG issues with the steak. 1. It is not 36oz...not even close (stop conning your customers) 2. The steak was dry with little crust (see pic) 3. The product itself was devoid of taste. 4. DONT ORDER IT! SERVICE This is probably the most disappointing aspect of the venue. There's clearly not enough waiting staff and a glance at the larger tables en route to the restroom you can see nothing but a sea of people with strained necks hoping to catch a glance of their table staff lifeboat and order something.....anything!!! When we asked our waiter if we could substitute our roasts for mash (despite being the same price) we were told: "No, we charge for any extras." We need not have bothered because the roasts were (rather like the rest of the food here) average. Those from the UK expecting 'proper roasties' will be VERY disappointed. After waiting an age for my drink, my flat coke (served out of a dispenser may I add) arrived which tasted disgusting so sent it back....only to be served the same bubbleless coke. (Again) I called the waiter over and told them, I didn't want a respeat experience and to take it off the bill. I drowned my sorrows with a glass of Clos Pegase Merlot instead which really is very good. ($16) All in all Yamashiro is bang average! Dining is much more that 'insta brigage' looking for social media clout! The food and service just isn't very good. It's The 'Robbie Savage' of Restaurants and I won't be going back, EVER! P.S Before I forget - I suggest Yamashiro stops being a bunch of Shylock's and buy bottled coke! Thanks,

Very pricy for mediocre food. It is not bad food but your average outback restaurant is better. We expected more give the prices. I guess you pay a lot for the view. That is very nice. Unfortunately we were seated inside. Prices are about one and two star restaurant, so that would raises expectations.

What a disaster! We have come here for years to reunite as a large family. Tonight we were 26. The waiters didn’t get the orders straight, offered the wrong meals and some are still waiting for their food. Highly unusual for such an expensive and seemingly upscale place. The food is good as is the ambiance. But the service was not up to par.

Unforgettable experience and delicious food. We got seated earlier than our reservation time which was pleasantly unexpected. The calamari was fresh and crispy, the dragon roll was classic, but the spicy prawn noodles stole the show. The cocktails were great, although I can’t remember for the life of me what they were called. Our waitress was amazing! She was attentive, extremely helpful with good suggestions, and even gave us a small cheesecake and parfait as a birthday treat. She was 5-stars all around. The views are incredible. The restaurant overlooks a hill, and it’s themed to a traditional Japanese style. Parking for us was valet, so I can’t speak for self-parking. Great restaurant, and I would return again.

Really wanted to love this place - there is a lot of potential for an amazing experience (and I’m sure people have great ones), but it just wasn’t it for us. Let me start by saying that the views, ambiance, and drinks are exceptional. Beyond that, I’d hesitate to recommend. Our server was trying his best but had far too many tables to adequately run. One of the rolls we ordered took about 45 minutes to come out, much after everything else (happened to the table behind us too). When it did arrive, it had an exceptionally fishy taste - something you don’t want in sushi. The rest of the food was nothing to write home about - you will certainly find higher quality sushi in the area with a bit of research.Id end with saying that I appreciate that we didn’t have reservations and were seated as a party of 2 in about 25 minutes, as we were in the area spontaneously for my birthday. If you’re looking for an awesome view and drinks, highly recommend. If you’re looking for exceptional food and service, I’d recommend you keep looking.
