Middle East meets East LA. Oaxacan and Lebanese join forces in this low key high key quality restaurant. The best if of both worlds unite. Hummus, zankou chicken , carne asada, salad, naan bread and good ol’ white rice. Friendly staff and excellent service.
These cooks know what they’re doing! They know flavors and they know product! The blending of lebanese and mexican cuisine is brilliant! Try everything at some time in your take out choices! This food will not disappoint. Service is fast and parking was not a problem.
The hype is not real. I'll give them an extra star since they're a small business. Chicken shawarma was completely overcooked and was likely sitting out for a while. Inedible. The only saving grace was the hummus. Somehow even the rice wasn't great.
The best chicken shwarma plate in LA. The pickled turnip is like a cherry on top of an already perfect situation. Always get 2 sides of chili sauce though.
My husband and I had been waiting to try this ever since we saw them featured on the show Ugly Delicious. It was everything we'd hoped for. Mouth watering food, and great service. Thank you!
The food is good but nothing special. It is expensive for what you get. You can get similar quality food at a chain Greek restaurant.
I'm giving this place 4 stars because my bf really liked this place but I just thought it was okay. There wasn't anything wrong about this place - it just wasn't my style. I like vinegary and pickle-y things and I just didn't get enough of that. I probably wouldn't come back here, but I can't say the same for my bf.Came here around 3:30PM on a Saturday in late January 2022. The plaza had a few parking spaces open and the place wasn't busy. They have outdoor seating only with 4 tables. Only one of those tables were taken when we got there. We ordered at the window and paid with card. My bf ordered the combo plate and I ordered the Falafel plate. My bf substituted his side salad with the Tabouleh Oaxacan Salad, which ended up being the right call because the regular side salad was underwhelming. The food was good - fresh. The tahini sauce was tangy and great hummus. The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I also got their pineapple fresca which was very good even though it wasn't very sweet.I think the only down side to this place was their cheap forks (which had a lot of trouble stabbing through the falafel) and how they charged extra for their sauces. It was an extra $1.50 for a tahini sauce and $0.75 for extra salsa Verde. You should also be mindful that they charge $2.25 for bottled water (same price as any of their soft drinks).
Chicken shawarma tacos are EVERYTHING. I had three, and could have eaten six!
Food is great, fresh mainly. The flavor is distinctive, they have a way to serve their rice with noodles, first time trying it like that and it was delicious. I love the chicken Kabob and the chicken wrap... The guys are great, polite and great customer service. Is a small place on Wabash stret but the food tells a different story you must try it.
Great falafel sando casual spot
