The white rice cake was the star of everything we got from here.since it's pandemic I guess they started accepting dine in but you have to eat at their parking lot w tent.but it was so hot that day so we decided to just buy for togo.long was pretty long and no shade so be prepared to be a lil toasty while waiting for your turn.we order their dumplings...3out5 its okay I think not the best but pretty big for the price.we tried their steamed bun.pretty big for not too flavorful.baked bun I love the bread itself but the flavor that we got not so much...we tried the curry.their egg tart was pretty good but the best again...overall giving this place 3.
The best part of this place is hands down the dim sum selection. There’s a walk up window that builds a line in the afternoon, and a dine in area. The main restaurant food options are a bit less in quality than the dim sum, but like the dim sum are well worth the value. A short waiting time and friendly staff. Highly recommend as a good authentic Chinese food grab and go!
Moderate wait for very fresh buns and pastries! For faster service, line up in the Take Out line. They will box everything up and charge you there. We ordered plenty of steamed buns, baked buns, pastries, egg rolls, and dumplings for our family. After a 1 hour drive, everything was still warm and delicious. Will come again to try food from the main menu!
Good, popular , long time traditional spot, in the heart of Downtown China town. They do well enough to change the outer appearance. They could do better on being clean , especially after covid.Let's clean this place up.Remodel or somethingFood is traditional Chinese and good.Service not the best, except for Mike.Let's go.. Clean up, give better service
I love going to Won Kok. Sometimes the lines are a little bit long, but it's always worth the wait.I guess you have to kind of know when to go, I haven't exactly figured that part out yet, but the food is delicious. No matter what you get I've never been dissatisfied.I used to come here years ago for lunch when I worked in downtown LA. We used to dine in and it was a great experience. It reminded me of Chinese restaurants in New York City.I usually stick with the house fried rice and egg rolls. It's worth the trip all the way from Long Beach every time I go. You won't be disappointed. Give Won Kok a try.
Dim some hair is pretty good and really cheap but it takes forever you can wait 30 to 45 minutes in line with only three people in front of you. Really really slow so unless you have a lot of time I would not bother. The inside of the restaurant looks dumpy like you wouldn't want to eat there kind of greasy spoonish. Food is cheap but they are super super snail like.
Never judge a book by its cover. I was concerned that it was a small place. It may be a grade B, but it was clean everything, super busy for take out (went around noon) loved the rice and noodles. Waited around 5-10 min for a table. The dumplings look different from what I had in the past. But for sure it was delicious (the shrimp ehhh) price was pretty amazing!! Highly recommended this place!!
The noodle soup didn’t have flavor !! It was so plain we went all the way from San Fernando valley for this !! Plus they didn’t give us hot sauce at least to put flavor to the soup
Dirty fork, bad customer service .. we’re waiting almost an hour for our order noodles, siomai, butchi and siopao
Fantastic food at this place. Don't expect fancy decor. However do expect plenty of good quality food at reasonable prices.
