Came back to change my review bc they have good vegan options and the hottest wasabi ever

Used to love this place but ordering from the stupid kiosk took over 30 mins because no one knew how to use it. So stupid they don’t just have someone help you. Horrible and they lost a long life customer.

Seems a bit no frills when you enter, but really delicious chicken rice bowl and really fresh veg tempura. Plus staff were really helpful and friendly. On top of that, it was great value!

Seems to have a lot of good reviews but the food was pretty mediocre on the same level as any American fast food restaurant. I am honestly picky when it comes to food so if you're not you may like this place just fine. I got the vegan kitsune udon, the broth had a strong Kombu taste but it was really the only taste it had going for it. The noodles seemed made in house but were too hard and probably needed more time to cook&soften up. The tempura I got also seemed like the veggies needed more time to cook, they were fine but only just cooked means they didn't have much flavour. When we walked in it smelled pretty much like msg. I can't confirm if they really used msg in their food but you might want to ask if that's an issue for you.If you want to sit inside you will need a vaccine card. Also the restaurant is on the third floor.

One of the girl workers asked us if we are COVID vaccinated with such a snobby, pretentious attitude, it made me not want to go there ever again. BTW, it's not like it's such a "matter of fact" thing that establishments ask for vaccination proof. We literally went to every other restaurant in the shopping mall, and none of them asked us for a vaccination card. We even went over to the Little Tokyo Village for drinks, then asked restaurants just to check, and not a single place said they required proof of vaccination

Good pricing. Really liked the cold dipping upon and grilled mackerel. Not everything was homerun but overall good experience.

Just not very good. The place is clean and the atmosphere is good. The ordering process kinda felt weird. The food is really bland and very cheap tasting. Yes, it is very cheap to eat here but even for the 10 dollar udon it felt like a 2 dollar instant pack with a little bit of garnish and some semi pathetic pieces of meat. The food wasn’t spoiled but I felt pretty gross halfway through, so I stopped eating (it wasn’t even a large portion). I asked for a cup of water but they said that they only sell water bottles which seemed strange to me.I hate to put down negative reviews but this experience felt unusual and I’m surprised to see it has a high rating. I couldn’t get through my udon and ended up getting sushi downstairs to satiate my hunger. The person I was with didn’t finish their small bowl of udon for similar reasons. It ended up being more expensive than if we just went to an expensive place lol.Maybe I came in on a bad day or something, but I just think that there are a lot of better options right near by. Thanks for reading.

The only issues we had were missing foods. We ordered udon to go and two were tempura: one veggie and one regular. When we picked it up, we checked the order at our car and saw we were missing the regular tempura. As a consolation, they gave us extra shrimp tempura along with the regular tempura. Later on we noticed the toppings for the udon were missing. The udon itself tasted great and fresh. Pro tip: get a side of curry and add it to your udon.

The order: Chicken chashu udon, eggplant tempura, shiitake tempura, takoyaki & miso soup.My feelings: disappointed. The actual udon noodle was good!! But the broth was... Just nothing special. Not for the price. The eggplant and shiitake tempura didn't taste like much of anything except grease, because they were not drained properly. I understand that fried foods do not really keep their crispiness/freshness when they are packed up & transported, but my mouth was coated in oil, and these were WET. I can tell the oil was just not drained out of it.The miso was okay... Really bland, though... It had donut-shaped squishy things in it, not sure what they were? Anyways, I would have liked more salt, and maybe some enoki and tofu. The takoyaki was actually really yummy. Flavourful, the perfect amount of sauces and katsuobishi; perfectly fluffy inside!! I am sure these were crispy on the outside when they left the restaurant. No complaints there!!Overall, though, I'm not happy with the quality vs. the price paid for this food. I have gotten much better food for much less. I actually have really bad heartburn after eating this :/

Like the food here but the service is terrible. I would recommend ordering to go so you don’t have to deal with the wait staff here.
