Come on in for taco Tuesday $2 tacos. Only downfall is the other locations have WAY better drink presentations. This location gives barely any salt rim salt….
I went 3 times to Del Mar location in San Diego and I absolutely loved it .Today I was in Century City with a friend & I convinced her to try Tocaya . I was raving about how good it is and I was so excited to share the experience. What an embarrassment & disappointment !Her Tocaya salad was a lot of lettuce & 4 bite size of meat which was very hard to chew .My tacos were tasteless and so soggy that when I tried to pick one up everything spilled on my plate . Each one had 2 bite size of carne asada , almost impossible to chew .The salsa was watery & tasteless. The Chips & guacamole were the only things very good .Looking back , I am so sorry that I did not take a picture , return the tacos & complain about the meat . I was embarrassed enough that our lunch was a fiasco , I just did not want more aggravation .I just do not understand how a respectable business can serve such poor quality food . They sure know their beef is of poor quality !The whole experience left a very unpleasant impression.

I came here because my first experience was good. The food was delicious and I had a great time. But my second visit changed everything. I have never had this kind of gross experience like I had before! The chicken was literally dried and had lots of bones! I asked the server if they can do something about it and he called the manager. The manager didn’t even apologize, just grabbed my bowl and said, “I can make it again.” And left. We literally waited more than 30 minutes for her to come back so we can eat our food and she didn’t come back. When we were leaving she was still dealing with other orders. So… NEVER EVER again! Waste of time, money and just purely a waste! If not fixing any problem is modern, welcome to Tocaya Modern Mexican!
Ate here twice, my very first time was lunch and the service from the girl at front was so, so. I explained it was my first time and asked her if the online menu had pictures since I didn’t know what to order, she said “no” and was not very helpful. I ordered a bowl and I didn’t like it, the chicken was very dry and too salty. My second time I had much better service, ordered a salad and a margarita. I don’t think the food is great, it’s ok! but the prices are decent.

There are so many other locations of Tocaya.I am only interested in this one. It's in the Westfield century. My most favorite part about this location is because of all designs and layouts.I am obsessed with its floor tile. I love this color. The spicy margarita was so good. Food is so so, but I enjoyed the decoration, the vibe. Overall, I really liked it

You must try the MUSHROOM & JALAPEÑO QUESADILLA! They were awesome! You get 2 house-made corn tortillas w/ sautéed mushrooms, chopped jalapeños & roasted tomato salsa. You will not be disappointed. The gem for me that made my experience even better was the patio option. These days “with COVID” I prefer sitting outdoors while dining. The patio was nice, modern flare and tables were spaced enough. Also, I ordered the GUACAMOLEpomegranate seeds, lime pepita seeds, red onion, jalapeño & cilantro. I asked for tortilla chips instead of plantains. Yummy! I never had pomegranate on guacamole, nice addition. The side of black beans were good too.
Yummy wonderful. Just the right spice. Baja taco was super crispy, light and fluffy. One of the best I've had. The al.pastpr was sweet n spicy. Street corn (not on the cob thank you), chips and salsa and tip came to under $14. I say its a steal. Great setting, indoor outdoor.
