The breakfast is okay if you’re hungry..plain eggs and potatoes you have to season yourself…❌Bacon ? was crispy..service was quick. ✅Pancakes were good!?The sourdough toast nice and buttery, I had to ask for it and I got the bacon, eggs, potatoes and toast.? Baby all crying in my ear. Wish the counter was open! Won’t be coming back for a while too…??♂️Overall what a disappointment…experience was lacking..anime convention though?
If you want an old-fashioned, no frills breakfast - it’s worth the wait. After jogging by two mornings in a row and seeing the line outside, I wondered what all the commotion was about & decided to give it a try. I had the scrambled eggs, pancakes & potatoes & was not disappointed. I am particular about my eggs & they were perfectly cooked. The pancakes fluffy & flavorful and the potatoes were well seasoned. I enjoyed it so much I ordered takeout on another occasion. Tip: (1) sit at the counter if want to be seated faster; (2) check your order before you leave if you do a pickup order.
Ordered Peach cobbler because it looked pretty good.... Had already had breakfast with a friend and he had the tab..... Peach cobbler arrived and it was awful so I said to take it off the tab; (it was not on the tab but on a sepreate check that I refuse to pay.....) 1st it was the security guard standing at the pay counter as if that was a threat .... I walked around him.as I headed to my vehicle........and at this point, the waiter (in a very loud and derogatory tone) yelled "and ... Don't come back) .... and I have not been back since. They can't cook anyway..... I just went because my buddy to lazy to cook breakfast and he got lot's of money to waste on lousy breakfast. I hope Victor read this review and write one as well....... This place suck; And if you pay attention you'll see the type of peoplel the place is design to attract. And for 2022 that's a sad affair.....
We waited in line and the food did not disappoint. We ended up getting in faster because we were only a party of two and we agreed to eat at the counter. It was awesome because we were seated right across from the grill. We were able to see the two cooks assemble their dishes they were responsible for. I got the #2, which is 2 eggs (I chose over easy) potatoes and toast (I chose rye toast) and I added bacon. The coffee was good and I almost went into a nice food coma! I would definitely eat here again.
Sadly the cafe that never closes does in fact close 2 days a week and isn’t open for dinner currently. This meant we could only eat here once which was a huge shame as the one meal I had here was the best bacon and eggs of my life. We queued for an hour to be seated at 10am on a Sunday but it was worth it. The cafe does not look like it’s been renovated since it opened and I hope it never changes. It’s actually authentic. The menu is very simple, but that’s what makes it great. I will happily queue to eat here every time I’m in LA from now on.
Great food, great selection, friendly atmosphere - I went here with a friend and am so happy I did. Loved it.
Amazing place! Had to wait in line for a while, but most definitely worth the wait, I Promise! Great home cooked food! We sat at the countertop, which was perfect and fast service. The Coleslaw was perfect, which I just had to try because I've heard it was amazing! Coffee was a Must! The french toast was one of the best I've ever had. Also don't forget to try their sourdough bread its soooo good! Bacon was nice and thick, not like McDonald's bacon! Potatoes are perfect with a crunch, and the omelets were so cheesy and just overall good. Everyone was nice and the atmosphere was good. I definitely can't wait to come back!
Great quality food for superb prices. The customer service was excellent! (which is rare now and days). I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It was delicious. The meat was tender, and veggies were sautéed to perfection. Note for first timers: Pay your bill at the cashier that is located at the entrance; They validate a hour and a half (1.5hrs) of parking from the location across the street; They don't have personal menus, their menus are on the walls.
The service is excellent and the staff is awesome! The food is amazing. Definitely recommend them.
So yummy, I’m here with family and friends for the last 50 years! The food is always delicious and the staff is always amazing
