Literally not worth my money or time. Our orders were made wrong TWICE, and there was holes in the box they gave us.I ordered a vegetarian burrito and the first time I took a bite and saw some kind of meat in there, they re made it but when I got the next one I took it bit and not only was it too spicy for me to be able to enjoy there was more meat when I checked. So disappointing. My friends order was wrong too, she asked for no beans or rice green sauce. SHE GOT ALL OF THOSE WITH THE WRONG SAUCE. If you can’t make an order correctly they should let you know rather than serve customers a wrong order. We have health concerns and not even 10 minutes later our stomachs are hurting. NEVER COMING BACK HERE.
This place has been going down slowly but surely overall on food and customer service. The people there just walk around looking like they couldn't care less about making the food that has been ordered. Hope they get back to their glorious days, but as of right now, be ready to wait 45 mins for a burrito
I've been their Nacho fan for ages!! A must go if you're in the area. They are quick and friendly and they serve enough for two people. The only thing i noticed was that their meat wasn't as seasoned/flavorful as I remember. Granted I had not been back for at least 2 years. All in all, stop by and order something, you won't regret it.
I would have given it 5 stars but sadly this place is starting to lose its appeal. I've been coming here for 15 years and I could always count on some good tacos, but as of late the asada meat has been kind of dry and lacking in flavor and they practically drown them in red salsa that is so hot it's almost inedible. I love spicy food and salsa, but this last time was too much.
Pulled in on a whim because you can never go wrong with carnitas. Quick. Outdoor but covered seating which was great for the hot day. Had al pastor too. Carnitas were the best. La salsa was que casi se me salió el moco. A pit stop for sure next time I make it out to LA area.
Wow, wow, wow!!! I don't recall even making a breakfast burrito as good as this myself! The Ultimate Breakfast Burrito is amazing!! The salsa is a bit spicy in but in a rich flavorful way. To top it off, I'm all about coffee and theirs is a good medium roast with hints of spice; they must brew cinnamon sticks in like I do on occasion and perhaps a hint of of chipotle. So good...
The nachos with care asada are my favorite! I always get then when I come here. They are open 24/7 so it is my go to for some late night nachos. They do allow you to dine in. You order at the window on the main street and pick up your food inside. The parking lot of small so take your compact car. Also the beverage choices are limited but I take my own drink. The tacos are really good as well! They are a little pricey but the flavor and the quantity of meat is really good! I have been comming here for maybe 15 years.
This place opens 24 hrs. It is a good place to take a bite after club or if you are hungry at night. The food is not that bad but is not the best. Have some tables to sit and enjoy the food. Need a little bit of more cleaness bc tables and floors are dirty.
Carnitas Michoacan is the kind of place that's 10/10 sober, but 20/10 drunk. A lot of what they have on the menu isn't the healthiest, but what do you expect when you decide to get food in Lincoln Heights? If you want healthy and organic Mexican food, Little Tokyo and the Arts District is right down the road.As someone who's probably had Carnitas Michoacan hundreds and maybe thousands of times, these are the foods I would recommend:ANYTHING WITH AL PASTOR.In my humble opinion, Carnitas has the best al pastor meat I have ever tried. I've been to a lot of Mexican joints, both cheap and expensive, but none are more delicious than Carnitas's al pastor. You can get it on tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and in burritos. Most people will get carne asada, but there are times when its dry and not that flavorful so it can be a hit or a miss.NACHOS ESPECIAL & PAPAS NACHOS.I personally prefer the crunch of the normal nachos but whichever style nachos you get, you need to try it topped with rice, guacamole, onions, and cilantro. Make sure you confirm with the cashier because these are not toppings people normally get. You can thank me later. If you're okay with tripa, I would recommend getting that as your meat option but most of the time, I'll get my nachos with al pastor. The tripa is very flavorful and adds even more crunch to your nachos.BURRITO.I normally don't recommend others to get the burrito, but when I do, it's for an al pastor burrito with nacho cheese. Yes, NACHO CHEESE. I have friends who began to crave this burrito after trying it once.MENUDO.This is more of an acquired taste, but if you're into menudo like I am, I would highly recommend trying a bowl whenever the weather is chilly.PRO TIP.If you're going to the Dodgers game but you don't want to pay for overpriced food, I've always grabbed a burrito and take it to the game. My wallet and I have always left happier as a result.
Came here to get some of my taco cravings out of the way. Was taken aback by the amount of items they had on the menu. Nice hole in the wall place and closed door open space to enjoy your food. I got their chili verde combo w/ plenty of tacos. I usually like to go for the “random” meats. I went for the cabeza, lengua, buche, carnitas, and pastor. You have to go to the front of the stand to order the food. You get either red or green to go with your tacos but I go for both. I liked the flavors overall and the salas as well. The green one had almost like a fruity sort of flavor to it. Quite nice actually, couldn’t tell if it was mango like or pina but definitely something fruity, maybe citrusy even. Overall it was pretty darn good. The chili verde combo came with rice, beans w/cheese, salad w/ avocado salsa. All were flavorful. I wish I have more room to eat because I wanted to try their tortas and chili rellenos. I would come back here, I would say overall it’s probably even better than the taurino.
