I go there for Hookah! The hookah is GREAT! The drinks are strong and good once you find the secret door to the Bar. THE FOOD IS OUT RIGHT HORRIBLE EAT BEFORE YOU GO THERE AND YOU'LL BE GOOD!
This hidden bar/speakeasy is very cute. The bartenders are pretty stylish. Drinks are beautiful and yummy.Would definitely come back again.Though you need to be prepared nothing in the bar that you purchased, even the tap water, can be in the front hookah lounge.
Swanky atmosphere with delicious small plates available. Lounge areas fit large groups comfortably and allow space to shake your hips a bit to the groovy tunes played by the DJ in the entry area. A great place to start a night out with the girls or just stop in to have drinks after shopping in Union Square.
Service was great, beers ($7) was delcious, appetizers were average. Great place to try choice wines and beers. Crowd is pretty mixed, I really don't think you can narrow it down.
Super cute place. Go to the Hookah Lounge and ask for Melrose Station. They'll take you to a secret door behind the bookcase!!
Best cocktails I’ve had in the city. Very good! Cool space and friendly bartender. We were disappointed with the food, but the drinks were so good we forgive them for the less than ideal food.
Classy hidden speakeasy with fancy and strong cocktails tucked away at the back of a hookah bar. It's an intimate space hidden behind a door disguised as a bookshelf, and the best thing is that it's not crowded whatsoever. Cool experience and we'll be back for sure. One note - they weren't serving any food on the day we were there (a Tuesday).
Love this place - perfect hang out spot for a beer nerd. I sometimes go here just to sit and read a book with a The Melrose Station.
The service is top notch. All servers and bartenders are great. They are personable and attentive. Megan is the best. I've come for quite some time and she always leaves me speechless. Her ability to attend to multiple guests and find time to have a small chat is flawless. She is an ace at her craft and a gem at Bar Louie.
The steaks were great and the beef dip was top drawer. However, the desserts were lackluster, especially the key lime pie, it seems they used the peel of the limes to make the pie and it was super bitter. The last few month, the desserts have really gone downhill. What happened?? Their desserts used to be the star of the meal!
