Since the moment you enter this restaurant you get hit by a couple of things. 1st how crowded it is and 2nd the smell of delicious sushi. It is one of the best places in the valley to eat sushi and Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price. The relation price-quality is perfect.
The worst service ever! Waitresses don’t know how to serve and make sure the customer is satisfied and has everything on the table. Especially when it’s a last call. We had to get up and look for the waiter to get drinks (before we made many attempts to call for them). And after 20 min we’ve been told that this was a last call and they can’t serve anything, not even considering that we’ve been waiting for them. Apparently the manager doesn’t want the restaurant to make money and satisfy their customers. Oh well, there’re plenty sushi restaurants in LA where the customers are welcomed and we’ll served. We were regulars, but definitely not coming back. Worst Friday night dinner experience.
Love this place. The rolls are super fresh and the service is fast and super friendly. I highly recommend!!
Another katsu-ya.Holds up to the brand standard in fish quality and sushi preparations. This particular location can get quite busy after 5. So try to make reservation.Consider going for lunch. No huge rush at lunch on any days and they have great lunch deals for a quick bite under $20.I do have to say the service here is a bit spotty. Sometimes it’s everything you expect and sometimes a bit subpar.
Used to be one of favourite spots before Covid. Now The new management is awful, they look so discombobulated, like they don’t know what they are doing there. Previous time I wanted to pay cash - the manager/ cashier freaked out and had to call the guy who was checking the vaccinations from outside to help him out.The last time we ordered to go - they said 1 hour, I arrived 1.15- the order was not ready. After 1.30 I left without my order. It’s getting worse with every time.
Delicious Japanese food with reasonable price !
Only come here if you have all of the time in the world. Maybe dining in is worth it, but do not order delivery or take-out. They’ll take forever with your order and not care. When I came to pick up my order there was a line of Uber drivers waiting for 20min for their order and nobody had any remorse or was moving with haste. They literally couldn’t have cared less. Unbothered af.
It's a terrible day at the cafe. The new manager or whoever he is in general (black hair, black-rimmed glasses and a sports jacket) he is rude and inattentive, not a professional. Just a ruined evening, although the cafe was wonderful. We will go to the neighboring cafes if you do not take action.
The rolls cannot hold itself, the pieces feel part while they were still on the plat. And definitely does not worth the price we paid.
Their spicy tuna crispy rice was not even crispy- just hot rice that was charred but remains soggy. We had 2/4 of them, then decided to tell the waiter that they weren’t crispy. Then they came back with just 2 pieces redone, not much different and still charged full price for it.
