really good food! not too salty. the catfish is really good. mac and cheese... it's passable. collards are good. black eyes are really good as well as the green beans. the johnny cakes (that's what I call them) are fluffy and idk anywhere else that serves them...complimentary at that! quick service. I called in and didn't have to wait on hold long. I recommend calling in. it's a walk up window to order. cash only. atm on site. reasonably priced. there is a small parking lot on site. bus stops very close by. I recommend.
Good experience, staff gives you something to drink every time you go. Never had that before thought it was COOL !!!!!! Staff helpful. Don't leave your clothes unattended while in the dryer I was told by the owner people do still other than that it's a good laundromat
Service is good, Food Not so much...My chicken was not seasoned, Neither were the yams or Black-eyed peas. Someone poured B-B-Que sauce over everything I guess to give it flavor. Umm I'll pass on this place for Soul Food! The only reason my plate looks clean is because I recooked the Yams and Black-eyed peas but chicken I couldn't save lol
Everyone doesn't have the same taste bud. I loved it the food was excellent. I'd recommend trying it. Parking not the best.
The pork chops was not seasoned but still tasted okay. The potato salad was amazing! Hot water cornbread was good. Mac & Cheese was horrible. Was completely overcooked with no flavor at all. The worst I ever Mac & cheese ever!
The best soul food in the city. Beyond healthy portions. The greens are solid and the ox tail is worth the price of admission. Check em out and don't let the haters in the reviews throw you off. I went with the sirloin tips and the smothered pork chop today. Everything on the menu is bomb AF. Unless you're really hungry these plates are good for two meals.
Had the Mexican and the soul food there and I prefer the soul food. Tri-tips with rice and gravy yams dressing greens cabbage barbecue hot links mac & cheese liver and onions are all that I’ve had there and everything was great! The lemonade is awesome too only one size and it’s an extra large! I won’t mention the Mexican food at all, at all! The service is great as well. Feels like a down-home restaurant like from New Orleans! Highly highly recommended! I go at least once a week, and one plate is more than one meal trust and believe you will not be disappointed
Ordered 2 chitterling dinners yesterday Sunday was up and at the Family by 8:50/9:00am for family members who have wanted some since October they loved them!! So thank you very much. have tried calling but the mail box is full . but my family and I were very pleased. We only eat chitterlings once a year! they were very tender very clean and very well seasoned.Thank you very much!!

Only my second time visiting. I had the Pork Chop meal and Catfish dinner. The PC meal was great. But I was disappointed with the catfish dinner. It look like fish strips or something????? Though it did taste ok....
