I enjoy eating Carving Board’s Smashouse Burger which is really good. The Carving Board has many different Sandwich. Like Chicken, Beef, Pork, Turkey, Seafood and Veggie. They also do Breakfast’s Sandwich!! They used to have the Cali Turkey Burger but they no longer have it. If you check on there website on Carving Board’ Menu on West LA they will say they have the Cali Turkey Burger, but if you go in the restaurant they will say they don’t. So this is a good place for a good lunch.
Waited 35 mins for a order when order was placed long before I got there. The guy working the counter/cashier on Thursday, May 26th at 11:35AM (only person working the front, about 5’6-5’7, 275lbs, large black earring studs) is the rudest, most unpleasant, loudest person I’ve ever encountered within hospitality. Not only was he rude towards me, but I witnessed him be rude and mistreat several delivery drivers waiting for their orders. He refused to let anybody know how much longer it would be to get our food, he just kept saying nothing was ready. At one point the phone rang and you could hear him very loudly say to the person on the phone “ I already told you the order is not ready. If you keep calling here and checking on it it’s just gonna take longer for us to get to your order because we have to stop and pick up the phone.” I understand being overwhelmed and having a bad day but this is totally unacceptable. When you project negativity into the world like this you don’t know how you’re going to affect somebody coming in and supporting this business.
Looks like they updated/shrank the menu recently.
Delicious chicken parm sandwich, but the Superfood Salad felt like a salad I could expect to get from Walgreens. The salad consisted of a thin bed of spinach leaves (about 1/8 inch thick) topped by a plain dry chicken breast. If I wanted a thin bed and dry chicken, I would have gone to a Motel 6 next to a KFC.I expect much better for a $16 salad!
I actually like most of the food with their cutting board as plates. The chips that came with the order was crunchy on some and soft and soggy on some.Arugula salad was good.I have a question to the people who owns this place though. Do you garnish the wage of your employee if they have to replace a mistake??So our server spilled half of my turkey chilli on our table and my bag. We were chill about it. He cleaned it up as he should. BUT DID NOT replace the chilli that he spilled! WTH right?? Didn't want to go Karen on him BUT that's bad customer service right there.Parking is pretty decent.
One of my favorite places in LA to get a good affordable sandwich. everything they make is great.

Best sandwich shop in West LA. Seriously! It's a must ! If you haven't tried the carving board try it !! It's amazing !!!
Friendly staff, great food. Like really great.
I took my mom here for lunch and the sandwiches were delicious, which is why their prices are around 12 to 17 for a sandwich and small salad. The taste was worth the price and I really loved the natural wood and plant decor. However, the indoor dining space was very loud. My mom and I had a hard time hearing each other and the place wasn't even full. They have one small table squeezed outside, so outdoor dining may or may not be an option if they're busy or you have more than 2 ppl. Some tables inside remained dirty for a while. So I'd be torn about returning. Amazing food and pleasant decor, but not my favorite atmosphere noise and cleanliness wise. A lot of people were getting take out, so that's one way to get the tasty sandwiches without the downsides I mentioned.
