It took me so long to try this place and it’s awesome! The buns came in the perfect texture, so soft and fluffy. My favorite flavor was Kalbi, the beef was perfectly marinated, just delicious. The spicy pork and katsu were tasty, as well. Make sure you check out the happy hour promotion, three buns for ten bucks is a good deal

The girl who helped me was super nice and the buns were delicious! Thanks

Cute little shop on the corner serving up delicious buns!Counter person patient and efficient!Flavors are amazing and food is fresh.Worth the 50 mile drive!

Tasty fries and yummy food items, price was great!

The Bun Shop was the first place I took my now husband to eat when he traveled for a visit from out of state. He was gobsmacked!I found Bun Shop while working in K-Town in 2014. I wanted to find an awesome place to buy lunch for my sales team. The Bun Shop had newly opened. It quickly became the in demand lunch spot for my sales team. The buns are fluffy, pillows of greatness, (not goodness). The fillings range from grilled spam to my personal fav: chicken Katsu. That romantic weekend turned into getting engaged two weeks later after only a month of knowing one another. Eight years later, my wonderful husband and kid’s favorite bun is the Kalbi beef. We have tried every bun over the years and drive in at least four times a year from Orange County. It’s worth the hour drive. Ps_ they also carry a rare beer my husband loves: Delirium Tremens

Highly recommend checking this spot out. The food was great and reasonably priced. The customer service was also outstanding.

Was featured on DDD and thought we'd try it. Parking isn't that great. They had a limit of 1 bun per person due to bun shortage. SMH However, they were tasty.

absolutely great service across the board, my cashier Paul went above and beyond and repaired my stalling engine from my car. absolute hero. on top of that food was amazing, I can’t wait to come back

I find the Bun Shop to be super consistently good. We usually get the dubu bao, the tempura veg bao, and the yoshi fries. They have a small draft beer menu that does occasionally rotate and never disappoints, but they also have a big refrigerator case of lots of other canned options (soda, beer, wine, cider, kombucha, etc).

I went in, asked the cashier specifically if they had any vegan options, she recommended me two, I chose the temp veg and after taking a bite, and reading yelp reviews, I walked up and asked for their ingredient book & found out that both the bun AND the aioli have dairy in it. Wasn’t even very apologetic. Just got an “oh shit” when I told her i wanted to FULL ingredient list & tried to tell me i was wrong with what was vegan etc. My only wish is that this place teaches their employees their menu & have them either have a menu options to show someone if they specifically ask for these things, ruined my entire night. May this be a lesson that vegan means NO animal products at all & if you are not sure/someone comes in with a “severe” request to always take extra precautions so this doesn’t happen again. Very disappointed as a non local in the area.
