Excellent burger. Imagine a backyard cookout burger at its best. The hickory sauce is great and the pickles are amazing. A bit sloppy as it definitely needs the paper wrapping. Bun had a nice butter flavor. Patty seasoned well and seared heavy but still a bit pink on the inside. Probably top 3 burgers I have had and I eat a lot of burgers. Chocolate banana cream pie was a great compliment for desert. If it had a graham cracker crust instead of traditional crust it too would be 5 stars.

Burger couldn't beat In N Out or Shake Shack. And it's a recipe since 1927??Patty was delightful and smoky but the burger was drowned in relish, sauce, and pickles. The cheddar couldn't save it. Proportions were off, entire burger tasted sour. Fries come completely unsalted.The outdoor heated seating at the back is very cute, though.
Amazingly good burgers and amazingly good pie at this “blast from the past” diner style restaurant in LA. It’s pretty simple but often the best places are. The size of the burger is really good and be prepared for a ton of fries. Sitting in back on a nice night is pretty much as close to perfect as you can get in this crazy world. Don’t expect amazing service, but the awesome food makes up for it.
not only is this place adorable, the food is amazing, the service is fast, and the employees are incredibly kind. they have great outdoor seating (the inside is still closed due to covid) and serve your food to go. loved the banana cream pie, but the apple was very fresh and delicious too.
This is my 2nd visit, 1st time was pre Covid. Hickory Burger is delicious and Banana pie was yummy. A little on the high side for burger and fries, but so worth it. Can't wait till they open the indoor counter for dining. They have a great set up out back with plenty of tables and heat lamps. Thanks for being a great place to dine ?
They had burned my burger a bit so not as good as before but still amazing! Make sure to tell them to not make it well well done!!!! The fries is really big so get one for 2-3 people!
This place is classic! I’m sad that it’s still closed for indoor dining, because the old school diner setting is such a vibe. They’ve done really well to convert the back into a really charming outdoor eating area though, so it was still a great time. Food was great as always, and all the employees were so nice.

Great burger and fries! Super friendly service. The coconut cream pie slice was too sweet - I’ll opt to try another one the next time!
Amazing burger! Saw the reviews and knew I had to try this spot which lived up to its long reputation. Had the steak burger with cheese as it comes and flavor was incredible. Perfect portion size and exactly what I was looking for.
