I enjoyed waiting outside in line for 45 min ,than the hour I was inside . The music was mediocre and seemed to be the same thing over and over again .
Been here twice for their nightclub to celebrate different events. The first time, the music was very mediocre and the vibes here were off - not a very high energy club. We came back the second time only because Arena was charging an insane cover that night. Second time we came back, someone (not in our group) bumped into a security guard and the security guard thought it was us and lost his temper. He wouldn’t listen, threatened to kick us out (but didn’t, since we literally didn’t do anything wrong and the club doesn’t want even LESS people there) then continued to stare us down and antagonize us the entire night. Very unprofessional and made everyone uncomfortable. The music also wasn’t great that night and we honestly should’ve just gone somewhere else. Don’t come here - we also will not be coming back.
Friday March 4th, 2022... lots of fun! The bartender with the pig tails made good drinks and the two deejays carried everyone... put us in a good place.
huge, spacious and lovely inside... with a good number of wines to taste and enjoy. a nice place to kick back and relax (if you can snag some seats on the couch), but the food portions are sadly minuscule, though tasty. for what you pay, you'd expect to get a couple more bites, rather than just a bite!
I've been waiting patiently for Terra Cotta to open and finally got my chance to check it out last night. We walked in and were asked if we were there for the event (an Obama fundraiser - yay!) We weren't and I was afraid that they wouldn't let us inlittle did I know that the place is ginormous and even with the fundraiser going on there's still plenty of room.
I've been to this place a few times in the last few years since my initial visit in 2013, and it's been lack luster. Most disappointed in this place after the last visit. Terrible service. Our bartender named Leo, kept chatting to his friend at the end of bar. Couldn't get any water refills, tried to order food, took so long to get his attention, that the kitchen closed! Thought this was a classy establishment where they were suppose to announce kitchen was about to close in case we had last minute orders. He kept disappearing and we even asked the bar back to find someone to close our tabs. No such luck. Took so long to close the tab that I missed the last BART and needed to find another way to get home.....
I've been here once and I didn't have a terrible time but this is definitely not what I'd expected. Always saw a massive line and finally went with a girlfriend. It starts off as a restaurant then turns into a club, which is fine but the crowd quickly shifts to unhinged 20-somethings. Drinks were subpar for the price. You'll end up being surrounded by obnoxious college kids who can't hold their liquor. I say come here for dinner / happy hour then go before it transforms into a club. I know for a fact that the majority of crowd who end up here are Arena's runoff.
DISCRIMINATION NOTICE: TERRA COTTA ENFORCES ARBITRARY DISCRIMINATION. As of Saturday, June 19 at 10:30 PM PST, I was removed from the club by a bouncer without reasoning nor explanation. I did not speak to anyone, I did not physically contact anyone. In fact, I did not conduct even ONE singular social interaction while waiting for the dance floor to become active! No witnesses, no claim of infraction, literally NOTHING. The bouncer did not even directly witness an infraction! He simply said "I had to be removed" without stating the reasoning. With the refusal to disburse video evidence to exclaim WHAT I MIGHT have done wrong -- much less why -- I am compelled to believe this is grounds for a filing an Unlawful Discrimination claim.THIS PLACE ENFORCES ABRITRARY DISCRIMINATION PRACTICES.
Delicious food, great drinks and excellent atmosphere. I can’t wait until they open again, when life returns to normal after Covid-19 is controlled.
