Sushi was really great and flavorful, ordering was seamless, and food came out quickly. The restaurant offers alcoholic drinks (which I have not seen as the norm at sushi places in NJ, in case you're visiting from out of town)
Please Bring back the honeymoon oyster it was the most Amazing Dish Ever! And it's what keeps me coming back!
I usually love going to Tenno Sushi but this time I had the worst experience. The service was bad and I found a long hair in my roll. The waiters were rude and when I mentioned the hair the waitress got mad at us and still had the audacity to tell us to leave a tip. Not to mention the are not following the covid restrictions. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! I don’t usually like leaving bad reviews but this time I kind of had to.
First time in this place and I will definitely come back. They have a great service, staff is always checking if you need anything. The atmosphere makes it perfect to have a nice dinner. Food was delicious, everything it's so fresh.
I'm local to the area and this place is always great for dine in or pick up. Haven't ever had a bad meal or bad service. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.Love the rolls and sushi. Recently tried the spicy pork bowl and it was basically 2 meals for me but also pretty delicious. My only complaint is wanting more broccoli but the stacked pork and rice made me just as happy.

I ordered rainbow roll, ex girlfriend, mango hot sake, Yellowtail sushi and dynamite rolls. I really enjoyed the sushi. Enjoyed mango hot sake and was decent size to share among two folks. Please try this place out over Kura. A lot better sushi quality.
Everything was great, very fast service! Each roll is definitely big enough to share. Only complaint is that I think their drink menu is a bit limited.
I had always enjoyed this place. I have been there multiple times, but I was very disappointed with their service this last time I was there. They sat us and it took them about 30 minutes to help us, we didn't even get water until we had to waive someone down. Mind you servers kept walking by us and completely ignoring us. I get places are busy, but that was not the case here, people who were sat after us were already getting their food while we hadn't been offered water. I also noticed when the person we waived down went to tell a female server to attend us, she didn't want to and a male server came over. I was a minute away from just walking out. This was my go to sushi spot, I will very likely not be returning. So heart broken, I do not want to say it was a race thing, but we were the only Latinos in there ?.
Tenno has a pretty extensive menu. The food and service were both good. We only had a short wait to be seated. The restaurant was fairly crowded with a steady stream of customers going in and out throughout our stay. The only complaint I had was that the hot tea wasn't very hot.
Got a couple apps to share. Sesame chicken. Good fry, it came with sweet mayo sauce. Fried squid came with Sriracha mayo. Shisito peppers were sweet and delicious. Had the sashimi boat as well. Plus 3 other rolls. Pretty good stuff. However I do prefer the cold stuff.
