I've been coming here since I moved to LA, and I keep coming back. Prices are very reasonable, but it's cash only. The food ranges from excellent to outstanding. They serve literally the best hotcakes I've ever had. The staff is friendly and attentive and make me feel like becoming a regular.This place has been open forever for a reason. The namesake, Teddy, still serves customers from behind the counter. He has pictures of his family on the walls and a collection of miniature classic cars. Can't get much cozier than that!You really can't go wrong with this place. It's awesome.
Great service and large portions. $12 for an omelette and unlimited coffee.
Lots of veg options including Maria's special omelette which was delicious. Also, the coffee was great and the potatoes were perfect. And service was FAST!
A hidden gem and fabulous old school dinner. Our waiter had worked there for 27 years. It was so amazing watching him greet the locals by name. He knew exactly what they wanted to drink and eat. That alone is why I rate so highly. The food was mouth watering…… we had breakfast. Biscuits and gravy y’all are delicious and plentiful. Coffee is exactly on point. This is a cash only facility so that’s a good point to know. Don’t leave without getting pie!!!!!
Shocked at how fast the food came out and how friendly the service was! I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon which was so delicious! Even though it was a super cheap meal it did not taste cheap at all and the portion was not skimpy. Spent less than I would have on fast food and was very impressed!
In the area for the weekend and searched out Mom & Pop breakfast eatery. This was a cute and quaint establishment. Friendly staff, our breakfast was perfect & yummy and it hit every mark needed to get 5 stars. Don't pass up this place.
My dining companion had banana granola pancakes and said they were "something special", which is saying something because she orders pancakes frequently.The service was great, the staff friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed and comfortable.
An old fashioned diner with reasonable prices and simple but good food. We always leave satisfied. I don't think they take credit cards. Nice people!
We came to Los Angeles for business, staying in Santa Monica. We discovered Teddy's and it became the highlight of our trip. Excellent food, fast service and just really a nice place for breakfast! We came 2 mornings and we know we will be back for lunch and dinner if/when we return to the area. Wish we had a Teddy's in Georgia!!
The BEST VALUE still around! Great food and affordable. I’m from the Midwest and grew up in a diet of Bob Evan’s and Cracker Barrel. This place has it all. No frills great food. Period.
