Taylors steakhouse opened in 1959. Been coming here since 2017. Aside from the food the beauty of this place is also the fact that it always feels like 'night time'. We were having dinner at 4pm ? Finally made it back after two years. Celebrating all the things..Huge thanks to the wonderful staff who always make sure we are well looked after. Top class.
We got the ribeye and a burger with a side of mushrooms. I gotta say this place has the best burger in la and it’s only $16. Just loved it, if you don’t have reservations you can eat at the bar. Bartender makes a neat section for you to dine at the bar. Pretty cool and classic place. Feels like you are a boss walking in this nostalgic place in the middle of Koreatown.
This is one of my favorite steakhouses in the world. It’s old school, a legend, and less expensive than the overly-hyped Musso and Franks. It has charm, no pretense, and excellent service. It’s not upscale, but the clientele definitely is because it’s the best damn secret for steak in L.A.
Drinks and food were mediocre (how can you mess up a whiskey sour?) Steak sauces never arrived and one of the orders did not make it to the table. Had to chase down a wine list. Five people but only 3 Steak knives and no dinner plates. Sides were minuscule. Slow, disorganized and seems to be in disarray. I think I'll skip it next time.
Thought it was more if an upscale steak house, it was very average with high prices. Old Fashions had the bright red maraschino Cherries not a dark one in site, Margarita was basic. Was there for a bday and nothing was offered...won't be going back....
Excellent old school spot, with a “Pacific Dining Car” vibes, and great art pieces on the wall.Excellent customer service and the food was delicious! I ordered the 20 oz porterhouse medium rare(flavorful and cooked to perfection) with side of bernaise sauce , cheese bread(my favorite of the orders, and the wine was super smooth(Brady Vineyards 2018 Petite Sirah). The Velvet Cake with Pistachio ice cream is on point!Walk ins is difficult so make sure you call to reserve. I highly recommend this spot, just be aware they’re short staffed too, so a little more patience.
Came here because we wanted good ole standard juicy medium rare steaks and Taylor's definitely quenched our cravings. We got French Onion Soup, Creamed Spinach, Porterhouse, Spencer Steak (boneless ribeye), and a bottle of their most affordable red. Everything was tasty. They pretty much have everything you think a standard steakhouse will have. The place looks old fashioned and traditional; it was also very festive with the holidays decoration. With that said, Taylor's tends to draw a more mature crowd. For parking, they have convenient valet service ($4.50) right next to the restaurant. We sat at the bar and it had more than enough room to enjoy a nice dinner. However, the bar service can definitely be improved. We had to continuously flag them down for mundane requests like getting the wine menu, ordering our meal, and getting a glass of water. It would be understandable, but they weren't even busy at the bar! Anyways, I recommend calling in advance to make a reservation if you want a booth seat. Expect to pay between $80-120 per person. Cool place, not sure when I'll be coming back though.
Marvelous comfortable old school decor to go long with an excellent steak, baked potato, and salad. Plainly perfect for those after a great steak with great service in a relaxed atmosphere. The mocha ice cream was a perfect topper.
Chicken Picatta is to die forThe steaks were also greatService was top classWill surely visit again !!
I come here at least once a month. The steaks are always cooked perfectly. Highly recommended!
