Probably the best tamales that I have eaten in the last decade, filled really well with meat and the flavoring was also spot on, and they were not dry like most of the other places. Definitely coming back here as long as the quality stays the same.
I became a regular customer of Tamale Man approximately 4 months ago, I went there for the first time before the Holidays in 2021 to try their tamales, I told the lady who helped us, how I had been trying tamales from different places all over Los Angeles and Long Beach/Carson areas for several months, and I also explained to her that I HAD NOT, found any place that in my opinion made good tamales, she told me that she was sure that I would like their tamales and she was RIGHT!!!! I must have bought tamales from dozens of places and non of them made me come back for more, except for this place! Their tamales are the best tamales I have tasted outside of Mexico lol. If you want to enjoy the best tamales in Los Angeles, go to this restaurant, I been going there at lease once a week because I crave their delicious tamales, my favorite are the Beef red tamales.
Very friendly customer service, I tried their Tamales for the first time and I was very satisfied with the flavor and the amount of filling that was Inside the Tamales. I just had to come back and order a few dozens of the green chicken and red pork Tamales for Christmas Eve. If you want tasty Tamales that are a good size come here. They do accept debit and credit but I did notice that the transactions are a bit glitchy with the machine they use so if you can, make it easier for your self and for the restaurant and bring cash instead. I'll be here Christmas eve to pick up my order however I will be back even after Christmas. OH! One more thing! The Champurado is also Really good. Don't forget to get your self some to go along with your tamales.

This has been my go-to spot for tamales for the past 10+ years! Very tasty, well flavored and nice-sized tamales. They are not full of masa like others; they are very generous with the fillings. They all taste great, but chicken and cheese are my favorites. Pork and chicken very popular with co-workers.Great customer service as well!

They lost there touch big time. I this used to be my favorite breakfast place. The food quality has done down drastically no joke. I know they can do better I seen it. But that passion they had is not there no more. Sorry to say it but it has.
I remember the original owner and he was a good friend, a great father, a family man, Carlos took care of his family, still sad that he is gone but his legacy will continue..7-8 years ago Winner by “Hungry Investors” on Spike TV, Jon Taffer along with his team of experts giving this restaurant a chance to succeed.. this is now 2021 , family still continues to serve the best Mexican Tamales in the Southern California. My personal favorite ? Ask them to make the “Charlie Tamale Burrito” ; )
