Tak's Coffee Shop is like a relic that my husband and I remember from when we were in our teens. We have been going to Tak's for many years and in the last 15 years my husband has developed a love for Loco Moco. In the years that we have been going to Tak's, we have seen the price go up from what it use to be many years ago at $10.50. Yesterday, we went to Tak's for breakfast and of course, my husband was going to order Loco Moco until he saw the various prices starting at $20.00. He was shocked! It does not cost $20 to make Loco Moco. We left and went to another Hawaiian restaurant in Gardena for Loco Moco, which was $9.00 cheaper. The continuing higher prices at Tak's has disappointed us. And I'm sorry to say we have had better Loco Moco.

This place has been here for awhile and the food is still that good. Alot ofHawaiian plate style lunches that bring back memories from the Holiday Bowl. Gotta try the chili/rice or the combo fried rice with an egg

They have the best avocado toast in LA. Nice place to work/study with many outlets! It's a little dark though. Parking is pain so if it's not early in the morning, you might have to spend a lot of time just circling around the area. There are many good restaurants nearby so the spaces are mostly full, but if you don't mind walking a bit, there are some spaces near the apartments.

I'm sitting in here sipping on the saffron latte. What a delightful blissful taste. So unique. Can't say I've ever had this before. Steep cost (no pun intended) but worth trying once. Nice interior environment with plenty of space to study at.
Good coffee with unusual and really tasty breakfast options. We really enjoyed the California crepe and what was basically breakfast nachos...super special and delicious & healthier than it sounds given all the veggies in it! Nice and smiling staff as well:-).
