This place has the best soul food tacos, burritos, and bowls. I live in San Diego now and Eeach time I come to LA, it's a Taco Mel's stop for me. The taste of their food is far from a commercial taco shop.... it's 100 times better.
Great food, but they don't deliver! Just like In and Out Burgers is known for their long drive through lines, Taco Mells apparently wants to be known for their long walk up line. Sometimes you just want to order in. What is the complication in using a delivery app?
This is the only taco spot in the area thats black owned ...and they have fire tacos,fire nachos and burrito...also have vegan stuff for those who dont eat meat.... awesome customer service... o yea i had a burrito yesterday that joint was smacking
We traveled from the Bay Area for these tacos and they were worth it food was good, fresh, and flavorful/seasoned nice spot for lunch to-go
Had a lot of tacos from a lot of different places during a recent trip to LA. Taco Mell had hands-down the best steak tacos I tried. I went with a large group and everyone ordered something different. Everyone was satisfied. This will definitely be a regular stop for me anytime I'm in town.
I absolutely love the food but the employees at the Crenshaw location have a rude demeanor and take absolutely forever to get my food. And they don’t wear masks, even if they were vaccinated would still feel a lot safer if they did
The food was good, it's just a bit too salty for my preference. I like how there's a lot of meat on the tacos and burritos. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Taco Mel is the SPOT!!! Excellent Food. Not your most authentic but Taco Mel have their authenticity and twist on Mexican food. The favorite of mine is the 3 Meat Burrito consisting of Steak, Chicken and Shrimp with rice bean and all the burrito fixins'.You can get Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas and bowls. And yes, they have Kool-Aid on deck to wash it all down with!If you're looking for good Mexican Food in the Crenshaw area Taco Mel is the place to get your fix!
