Still my favorite bakery in all of LA. I'm so lucky to live so close to the original one. Best birthday cakes ever.
Can’t go wrong with triple berry cake! I live a few blocks away and I always have to stop myself from stopping by and treating myself. Very bad for my waistline.
Really heavy on the frosting and the cake itself doesn't have much flavor. Tried the carrot cake - was more like a Christmas pudding. Also tried the vanilla cream cake super thick frosting layers that make the cake too moist. Service was really great unfortunately prices were a bit steep
Cake is a flour confection made from flour, sugar, and other ingredients, and is usually baked. In their oldest forms, cakes were modifications of bread, but cakes now cover a wide range of preparations that can be simple or elaborate, and which share features with desserts such as pastries, meringues, custards, and pies. The most common ingredients include flour, sugar, eggs, fat (such as butter, oil or margarine), a liquid, and a leavening agent, such as baking soda or baking powder. Common additional ingredients include dried, candied, or fresh fruit, nuts, cocoa, and extracts such as vanilla, with numerous substitutions for the primary ingredients. Cakes can also be filled with fruit preserves, nuts or dessert sauces (like custard, jelly, cooked fruit, whipped cream or syrups),[1] iced with buttercream or other icings, and decorated with marzipan, piped borders, or candied fruit.
Mmmm not blown away. The cake bread is joy the best. The icing is good and the granola bar was very nice. Customer service energy was not there at all. You can’t sit the last hour and not very welcoming when they are putting up chairs so you don’t sit right behind you first and maybe last time I wil visit. Oh.. and over priced. It’s a lot of icing to the amount of cake bread ?
The berry cake is the most delicious cake I’ve ever tried. I can’t wait to get it again. A little pricey for me. The berry cake from Whole Foods is cheaper, also good but missing cherries, this cake has them.I still give 5 starts though.
Obnoxious, obnoxious staff, if you think you can pick up croissants for breakfast better go somewhere else, they open at 10.AM. They serve you as if they deserved it better and you shall be please about it. Some items are good, staff is bad. Patronizing our local bakery and Jane Lockhart was always a pleasant experience in terms of quality, and taste. However, Sweet Lady Jane needs to open earlier and serve us better.
A New York custom with strong roots in LA. Love this spot. Incredible food, AWESOME virus mix espresso, and agreeable staff for sure. Make certain to arrange their celebrated banana pudding. It's entirely impressive ✨ ??. You will love it and will SURELY return for additional.
I ordered the triple berry shortcake for my wife's birthday. We both loved it. The cake was airy, fluffy, and overall delicious. We especially loved that the cake wasn't overwhelmingly sweet; most of the sweetness came from the fresh berries themselves.
Well the store manager is incredibly kind and accommodating the people who actually work in the store itself are not
