I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of sushi available in the sushi box. The sushi rolls were really good and the sashimi tasted fresh. The edamame that came with the order could use more seasoning, but I was really happy to see all the condiments that came with the box. Overall, I would recommend visiting SUGARFISH, you won't regret it.
Yeah, this spot was stellar. Expensive, but fair for the quality of food they are serving. Service is excellent and the wait isn’t bad at all to get in. All fish is super high quality and prepared deliciously.Rice is on another level. Lots of use of the ponzu sauce, which I’m very partial to. They provide 5 or more course options for food. Very great.
I went to a SUGARFISH in New York and was craving sushi when I was in LA so decided to stop by here. This SUGARFISH did not disappoint. Relatively affordable omakase with quick service, great interiors, and fresh fish. would definitely recommend!
As always, Sugarfish delivers like no other. Literally came to a different one yesterday but I love it way too much to not go again. I recommend the Trust Me menu. The individual that was helping me out today was named Ella. She was fantastic and always made sure I had no issues. Came around 3:30pm, pretty empty but was exactly what I was looking for.
I went sugar yesterday to have a dinner with my girlfriend. The food was pretty good but the service wasn’t up to par with the price you pay. My girlfriend had told the server it was my birthday in front of me to try to say that were here for a special time and looked at her like an idiot. We had gotten the first sashimi plate which was good but it was pretty lite. The salmon didn’t taste super fresh, in the reason the would cover it in soy and ponzu to hide the taste. The other 6 pieces were really good toro, yellow tail, and salmon were great. We had ordered more food which was great but got skipped over by other people cause we didn’t look ritzy. The problem I have is the service I was here with all the intentions on celebrating a special day. When we got the bill I realized the servers don’t work off tips and that they get a 8% percentage. I have worked in the hospitality industry for the last 13 years and I think here lies the problem. I just wanted to have a good date and share the day cause we are both so busy with work and it kinda ruined it for us both. Hope this helps. Great sushi but just a weird vibe. -Ryan Martinez

Love love love this place, always consistent and delicious. I usually order the trust me and that is more than enough food. The salmon melts in your mouth.Wait time is always different but entire party must be there to get seated.

Got a couple of "Trust me" to go boxes to take to the beach and they were perfect! Sushi was delicious and the box has everything you need to do a picnic on the beach.
This place was great! Just trust the chef, and you'll have a great time. The quality of the fish is amazing. It actually had no fishy taste. The fish also melted in your mouth. Great staff and wonderful vibe. Will come again!!
