Wasnt the best. I ordered the Padthai Noodles and it tasted kind of dry, bland too. I have had much better where you can see some sauce. Youre supposed to. The smell was nice though.Tasted better if i reheated it hours later. Maybe the juices started moving again? The portioning was good too. But still, for 15 dollars this was a let down.
Walked the entire market and chose Sticky Rice. My friends went the el Salvadoran cuisine route. I went with the pineapple fried rice with chicken. I’m not a small human, and that filled me up. Very tasty. Aside from the amazing food options, the people watching in the market is quite entertaining!
First time eating here. Delicious & flavorful!I ordered the “Gai Yang” and my favorite part about the plate was the papaya salad. Perfect flavor as a side to the chicken and rice.
One of the most popular food stalls inside the bustling Grand Central Market. Be prepared to wait, especially during the lunch rush hour. I ordered the Gai Yang - BBQ Chicken with Sticky Rice and side of Papaya Salad. The chicken was good, but was lacking the authentic Thai taste. Also portion size was underwhelming, and it was not enough meat. The Papaya Salad needs more heat and it's on the stingy side considering the price. Maybe it's an off day, next time time I'll try something else from the menu.
We tried the tofu pad Thai and the braised beef panang curry and both were very good. The beef curry was definitely the better of the two. The pad Thai was a HUGE portion and not too sweet but I would have preferred much less noodles and more of the other ingredients, it was honestly way too much for any one person to eat, so it felt very wasteful. Maybe get the pad Thai if you are very hungry!
Got the pad Thai and pad kee mokai . I eat Thai all the time and this is the blandest Thai food I’ve ever had. Sorry to say. Tastes like soy sauce and noodles mixed together, and even then not enough soy sauce. No spice or flavor. I even went back to ask them to remake it and it only kinda came out better. (First time ever returning food.) This is the second time I’ve been here, having forgot I had the same experience the first time. Tons of better options in the market. Avoid this one.
Bit disappointed after reading the reviews. Just picked up takeout. The pad thai was tasteless gooey noodles with bone dry tasteless chicken and tasteless shrimp. I’m glad the lemon was in there. The pineapple fried rice with shrimp had 4 pieces of pineapple I put them up top to show in the photo. Large portions but tasteless. I threw it away after this pic btw.
their gai yang is AWESOME, slightly overpriced but the money anxiety disappears as soon as you get your food. the chicken is perfectly seasoned and charred and the rice is sticky and subtly flavored, i can never get enough. portions are sizeable but not overwhelming. heard great reviews from friends on the fried rice and especially on the green curry. i love bringing people here for the great food and the great atmosphere of the market
I thoroughly enjoyed the flat egg noodles; primarily flavored with soy sauce and something sweet, but the sweetness didn't overpower the overall dish. I ordered it with shrimp and I counted 6 of them, the portion wasn't very generous in comparison to other establishments with the same dish and price. But will be coming back because it was delicious.
Grand Central Market - Sticky Rice has EXCELLENT Yellow Chicken Curry. QuickNEasy To go order. ❤️ the pineapple, huge “chunks” of chicken. Definitely will be a repeat!!!
