i absolutely adore the layout of the place. the dropped ceilings are quite classy, the old school light bulbs over the bar on the lower level are very neat, and the black painted pipes give it a cool exposed industrial feel mixed with the sultry interior.
Went to Star Night for the first time last night after many failed attempts to check it out and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. I fully expected it to be a wine bar -- but a walk down the stairs revealed several long tasting counters, where several upscale Napa / Santa Cruz wineries were featured. It was like a winery "food court" -- except it was far from tacky or crowded.
I like the outdoor seating w space heaters and storage under the seats for your things.Valet parking but you can find street parking if you're willing to walk.Food is good ? got the full fried chicken 20 bucks it comes w cabbage mayo salad, jalapeño and radish mu great balance to the chicken. Its not battered btw.Got the modum everything pancake. Its pricey at 32 but delicious better than the chicken.I feel like there should be more banchan for a place like this. Like complimentary edemame or something. No tap water and charges .25 for bottled water.Check your plates. I received a dirty plate and had to call a waiter. They quickly brought out a new one out but no apology. It was gross. They need more bathrooms when its busy. I saw lines even for men's bathroom. They're clean though. And this place gets crowded on weekend nights. The vibe is lively w music that makes u wanna dance but no dance floor. There's a bell button under table you can use to call for a server which is helpful cuz this place is busy. The servers were helpful one lady who brought our jeju soju gave us lemons said some people enjoy it like that. Server anticipated needs and when she saw me drop my chopsticks she immediately pulled another out for me.I like the lights ambiance at night. Good hangout place w friends or a date.Wide variety of soju available. 16 bucks for the typical flavors. In dec 2021 they had a promotion if you write a 5 star review they will give your table a free drink.
I'm a big fan of Chateau Montelena, so I was thrilled to see them there (plus, we got a very generous pour from the nice gal working the station). The food servers were a bit snooty...not a very nice reaction from them when we ordered water and a cheese plate).Overall, we had a good time but I'm certainly not raving about it. Just okay...
This is such a hidden gem. Perfect for cocktails after work and happy hour.-The wine selection is extensive.-The cheese platter to die for.-The atmosphere very classy and well put together.-The service is superb, even with a packed house.
Love this spot and always go here for a wine night with friends or coworkers. Huge selection of wine and staff is always incredibly friendly. Great happy hour deal and yummy appetizers
We went tonight which is Saturday. It was busy but not crowded. We were shown to a table right away. However the service was definitely a 1 star. Once we ordered we were ignored for the rest of our meal. Although our server and another server were taking shots with the table right next to us. We felt like we were not welcome. So I payed my tab and bounced. Never again will I go back. The food was in my opinion a 4/10Update: 12/1/21: to the owner; my feelings weren't hurt. ALSO many other recent and past reviews suggest a rude staff. Maybe its a you thing and not a our feelings thing. Thank you
This is a great place if you want to drink, snack, and hangout with friends. It’s a little bit noisy so be ready to talk loud to your friends and have someone in your party who isn’t afraid to yuh-gi-yo a staff member down.
Food, service are beyond Google's five stars. Great drink selection, too.
The flavor was okay. We only had the short ribs since the menu was pretty pricy but I almost wish we didn't get them at all. The ribs didn't seem overcooked at all but they were hard to chew and got stuck in my teeth.
