Great service and a very nice patio for a beautiful breakfast/lunch outdoors. Their service was also great. They don’t have a huge menu. I had their famous golden milk but it was kinda anti-climactic. With turmeric and cinnamon it was kinda powdery. I wish I had a stirring straw to mix up the foam on top. I also had the breakfast burrito with a side salad. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. My friend had pancakes, which were more like silver dollar pancakes, but very fluffy and light. And the breakfast tacos. Overall this place is cute for a breakfast/lunch with friends.

If you want yummy brunch, sun and LA vibes this is the place! I had a great time eating brunch on a picnic style table with beautiful views of the big blue Scientology building (lollll) In all seriousness it was a pretty standard spot, BUT these potatoes are what will have me come back. The potatoes reminded me of garlic fries, but with all the love and comfort of home style breakfast potatoes.

Delicious breakfast and lovely service! The French toast with warm cranberries is delicious.

I have had brunch in more than 20 places in LA and Square One Dining is in my top five list. It's cozy, fast and delicious. If you go during the weekend, don't miss the weekend's Benedict specials. They come with hollandaise sauce which is awesome. For weekends, depend on the party size, you may have 15-45 minutes waiting time to be seated, but the area (North Beach) is nice to walk!

Dinner at Square is great food and a great deal -- about 20% less than eating anywhere else in North Beach for the quality. We live in the neighborhood, and took some friends there Monday night. Sadly, it was almost empty. While breakfast and lunch are waiting lines only, more people need to discover Square for dinner or she won't be able to continue being open at night. We all loved the pork tenderloin, grilled calamari salad, and the garlic cilantro fries are great. The atmosphere is colorful and really delightful with all the original framed art -- it's like eating in a gallery. Best of all, it's quiet -- no high-ceilings, music blaring. You can actually enjoy the company of the people you're with.

We got mimosa's and breakfast. The servers were very friendly, and we were seated and served quickly. My husband got the French toast special (French toast, sausage and eggs) and I got the pancake special (pancakes, egg and bacon). It was more than enough food! We sat right by the window and people watched while we ate. We would definitely come here again if we are ever in LA!

The prices are more than reasonable for what you get, and I've never had an order of eggs over medium (the trickiest of all diner eggs) prepared over or under-done there. They also make great omelets, and a solid selection of various takes on a Benedict.I haven't spent much time on their lunch menu, because they close quite early (2:30pm), and tend to turn their sign over to close right on the dot, so as to avoid a herd of tourists walking in at the last moment. I'm also not a huge fan of their home-fries, which are flavorful but a little dry (more grease please!), and the flavor is almost sweet at times, which is just weird.

Great food and fast friendly service!

Nice little restaurant to have breakfast. They only have outdoor seating, but they have heaters for those cold days. The coffee is very good and the food is tasty. Chilaquiles were awesome.

Visiting from out of town and this wonderful spot was near our hotel. Couldn't be happier. Great reviews don't lie. Food was SO good, and the atmosphere on the patio was cozy and welcoming. Quick and excellent service. Thank you for a great breakfast!
